Finally the doors open to the general public on the official day of trading. Which couples will remain calm under this new pressure and whose nerves will get the better of them?

Any thoughts so far?

My thoughts are channel 7 hasn't really showed Perth alot...why? is it because we Won last years Comp, I kind of think that's the reason don't you??

Sydney- cute concept, cute couple...
Brisbane- alright, bland couple though
Melbourne- cute boys always works, good ideas, just dont know if they will pull them all off though
Adelaide- had the biggest potential, and have sucked ever since, they were so organised, and now they are doing crap.
Perth- boring, boring, boring. Will probably do well, cos Perth people always get behind their own, but they dont deserve to win...

predictions- The new couple will take over Brisbane, and Melbourne will win.

That wasn't me. I went there for dinner.

For those who never read my adventure to The Mint Leaf (shame on you) I'll recap it for you.

Well my friend and I went to The Mint Leaf the first weekend it opened expecting a huge line and both agreeing to only stay in line for an hour before we would "get some exercise and walk to Maccas" for those of you who have been to Freo that's about a 10 - 15 minute walk from The Mint Leaf.

Anyway moving on, we were there at about 7pm, and arrived at the resturant with a small line and an unhappy pregnant lady. We both met Andre who said that there was a 30 minute wait for a table, as tables of 2 were popular that night. So we waited and Andre said to me "that it was always good to me a fellow redhead" and he then went inside. Suddenly cameras appeared - which you have no choice having them in your face as there are enough Ch7 signs telling you that this resturant is part of a tv show. The cameras filmed my friend and I standing outside - exciting stuff. Since the kitchen is downstairs and literally faces the street they then went to film that.

30 mintues went by and we were whisked (pardon the pun) upstairs (the water feature is cool btw) by Andre who showed us to our table. Someone whose name I can't remember gave a speech about whatever and then gave us our menus. I had the Mt Barker Chicken and my friend had the Harvey Beef. It was all very nice but expensive. Sandy along with the camera again circulated the room and chatted with my friend and I. Sandy said that she liked my necklace - but I think it was more so that "find something nice to say about someone" then an actual comment.

The producer I guess it was (she was walking around the the cameraman and boom guy) interviewed the grumpy pregnant lady and asked if it was worth the wait and the pregnant lady said it was.

We had the Mint Leaf Dessert, which was yummy - it was a scoop of mint ice cream, some chocolate mouse stuff and 2 pieces of chocolate mint slice. But that too was expensive at $12.

Overall its fine dining to an extent and something that I don't do that often as its not really my style. It was very hot in there with no air con and just the pedestal fans and open windows to bring in some breeze. I did visit the bathroom and they were very nice.

Sandy and Andre are very nice people. And I hope that they stay.

I find the whole Melb chucking a sad hysterical, the video evidence is there, the place is plain dirty, having a chef cut vegies next to a otto bin, the mess upstairs, food not stored properly, urgh, stop the whining, its pointless, everyone saw the mess the place was in....

I agree Melbourne was a dis-grace. The whole thing about suing is stupid as they're getting customers in.
