Jon & Kate plus 8 is a reality show that airs on TLC about the life of Jon & Kate Gosselin, who live in eastern PA, and their children. Jon and Kate met a little over ten years ago and after getting married in the Summer of 1999 decided that they wanted a family. Because Kate has PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) they needed the help of a fertility doctor to get pregnant. It actually only took them two cycles to get pregnant with their twins - Cara Nicole & Madelyn Kate - who were born in October 2000. When the girls were around 2 1/2 years old Kate decided that she wanted to have "just one more" but John wasn't convinced. After a rough experience for both of them and praying about it a lot John had finally decided that he wanted another child as well. So Jon and Kate went back to the fertility doctor for help to get pregnant again. The August cycle failed but when they tried again in October it worked - and worked better then they ever could imagine. When they were at their initial ultrasound when Kate was about 5 weeks along they discovered that she was carrying 6 children. Completely opposed to reduction they decided, albeit scared, that they were going to do this. After a particularly rough pregnancy - Alexis Faith, Hannah Joy, Leah Hope, Collin Thomas, Aaden Jonathon, and Joel Kevin - were born on May 10, 2004. Nowadays Jon and Kate are busy raising 7 yr old twins and 4 yr old sextuplets and capturing it on film for all of us to see.

After doing two specials with the Discovery Health Network - Surviving Sextuplets and Twins and Surviving Sextuplets and Twins: One Year Later - Jon and Kate agreed with do a series. Jon & Kate Plus 8 began airing on Discovery Health in April 2007 and switched over to TLC later that year. They are filming new episodes all the time.

I love it too. It's soooo adorable and I love this family. I could watch it all day. Which, actually, I have been even though I've seen all these episodes already at leatst twice each.

I've loved this family since I saw their first special yearss ago when the sextuplets were like 18 months old. I remember I was so ecstatic when I found out they were doing a series.

I'm the exact same way. It's so bad that TLC re-airs primetime from 11-2 because I end up staying up just to watch the episodes again.

This family is just too cute to stop watching, I love them.

I've heard a lot of many other people bashing Kate online but really I don't understand how she could be any other way. When you have 8 young children you have to be strict like that or else everything will be a muck.

Extremely real. And honestly, I'd like to see those people who bash her attempt to control 8 children and not act how she does. Of course you're going to be strict, exhausted, and crabby at times.

It's on again right now.

I'm watching "Mady's Day." I loved seeing her happy and with just Jon & Kate. And I thought it was hilarious that she felt she had to confess to them about Cara and her cutting their hair. Haha.

Yeah I totally love her moodiness! My fave is the talent /fashion show when Maddie says "and I'm gonna be better than all you people" that girl what a handfull. I wouldnt attempt half the things they do and I only have three kids.

I just adore little Hannah. I think she's precious. Like in the Disney eppy (I think) - when she was sitting down doing laundry? SO sweet.

Yeah. It's called being a good parent? Some people don't know it when they see it.

Of course she has her bad days. She maybe a little bossy, but it's nothing new that most people aren't like anyways. God made her that way so that she can actually manage a household like that. Can you imagine if she would let them walk all over her?
