I saw the ad for it and it looks very interesting Is it meant to be Australian, since I heard one of the families' talking on the ad and they sounded British.

Yeah I have seen this show in the states and I really like it. Scary what the kids can look like when they are 40 -- i hope that teaches some families something.

It is quite a good show but I don't like the title, to tell parents that they are killing their kids is a bit harsh. Decreasing their lifespan yes and killing them hardly. My Mum has been on my back lately to become fitter and excerise and have a medical since my brother died last month. I guess she is right but it's just hard to get into a routine.

Thanks Kel, yeah it is still pretty hard, seeing we are still waiting to find out what actually caused it.

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother too. I see that it was very recent and that he was only 40. I can't imagine. I hope you can find out the cause.

I watched this show a couple of times and the rules were very interesting. When I was growing up (I'm 30) my parents swapped custody all the time and were very free and easy hippy types. I have two brothers close in age and we didn't have structured meal times or sit at the table together, we didn't do activities to develop hobbies and passions, we didn't have to make our beds or go to bed at a particular time and it was our decision to brush our teeth etc. It was hard for me to learn self-discipline as an adult and now I know why. No routines.

I also don't like the title of the show. Apart from sounding stupid, my five year old nephew asked why it was called that. I guess it's designed to shock people into action.

Trina *hugs* I hope they find out what it was

Wow Ann, thanks for sharing that with us

I'm not so crazy about the title myself, it's the UK's name show as well, they made the show first

Anyway, the ep we had was great but it was shocking it got better towards the end, I noticed that the little girl lost weight that's awesome

That was one angry little girl. So much so that it was hard to have sympathy for her. However, it was clear that her mother didn't like her and she knew it. That was the root of her problem, I think. How sad! It was heartwarming to see them hugging at the end. I didn't dislike the mother. She just got lost somewhere and didn't know what to do but she did love her girl. I hope it works out for them.
