wow, i really liked the season finale! i've been enjoying the episodes that center around spencer and heidi. i really like them together and i think they portray "villians" because that is their part on the show. anyways, i am really happy that heidi and lc talked. i realllllllly want them to be friends again. it would be really nice.

lo doesn't really want to show much of her personal life on the hills so i dont think she will be the fourth person. stephanie/holly make good background characters and i dont think they have enough depth to be a main character. maybe the show will center more around audrina/heid's life?

also, what was lauren's big announcement? that there will be more episodes for season 4 or that there will be a season 5? it wasn't very clear

The Hills is coming back with more episodes in the Spring. But, she kinda flubbed the lines.

And it adds up since The City will probably end sometime in March, to make way for The Hills. It's perfect timing.

Lauren was kinda more of a supporting role in this episode, which was a bit odd.

I was really surprised with Spencer last night. I couldn't believe he actually did that. I still despise him with a passion though.

In terms of Lauren playing a supporting role, I was not really happy with that at all. It is her show after all.

I am looking forward to Whitney's show too. I adore her. So it will be fun to watch her and see a lot more of her.

I can't wait until season 5!!!

I can't believe that they were playing Nick and Jessica's songs for Heidi and Spencer at the aftershow - I set the DVR so I will have to watch it later and then post my thoughts about it. I guess being subtle is not one of MTV's priorities. I am assuming that they are not big on Heidi and Spencer. Who knows though?

Speidi is playing around with the media and they will always do that. Also they such camera hogs so I am sure during this hiatus we will see more of them in the magazines and/or gossip sites. When there is a camera, Speidi is there to make sure that they capture them.

I think Lauren was going to announce the new season when everyone was there but the Aftershow people were pushing her. Also, given how she is being pushed more into a narrator (she's like Mary Alice on DH) she's probably not that enthused about a new season.

ETA: My favorite part of the After Show was JB admitting that even he doesn't know what he's saying half the time

I actually liked the finale too. I'm not sure how I feel about t he next season. I've always been a Whitney fan, so to not have her there will bum me out, but we'll see what happens.

Or she might be more enthused since she doesn't have much of an obligation with filming. She can live her life and appear occasionally and let Audrina & Heidi soak up all the reality/drama. I mean, she is dating Kyle Howard (which... hottie!) and doing her own thing, I don't think she would mind.

I think the convo with Lauren and Heidi was the first real emotion Heidi has ever shown. When she was talking about her mother, I felt as though she was genuinely torn up about it, where I have never felt that before. They're whole encounter was actually really touching. and I never thought I'd utter those words

I agree, and feel like with all this Speidi BS they've lost site of this fact... I know it must be tiring for her, and imagine MTV has made it worth her while to do another season, but I do hope we get most of the focus back on Lauren soon, the show lacks without it

I thought it was a breakthrough moment for Heidi. She clearly doesn't have anyone to talk to and she felt so relieved to speak to Lauren.

I just watched the finale tonight.... I liked it.

The Lauren/Heidi talk was nice actually. It made me remember who Heidi used to be a bit, and it is good for them to be civil. It definitely had it's awkward moments and when it was over, I was glad.

The Audrina/Justin stuff was a little awkward to me. When Justin took the ring off his finger, why did she say "give it to me, I want to see it"? Maybe I missed something there, but we are supposed to assume Justin wanted to give that to her as some kind of symbol of their relationship being official, right?

They aren't going anywhere.

The Heidi/Spencer scenes were not as bad as usual. They are starting to portray them a bit more realistically. Just a bit. I'm glad Spencer said what he said... but I thought they are married... I'm confused. Maybe they are planning a big wedding to make it "official" but they claim they are married right now.

I didn't watch the After Show yet, but it sounds like I should since you guys are discussing that a lot. I'm not surprised there is yet another season though.

Okay, I am having song troubles again.

I'm looking for a song, I am pretty sure its from Pink. It played on The Hills and it was the last song of the episode. I am pretty positive it was in the episode titled "You Did This" and it played over the Audrina/Lauren scene.

Does anyone know what song this is?

eta: I found it, its called Sober by Pink. If anyone else is wondering. lol.

I finally watched the finale (yeah, I know, I'm late!) and I quite liked it. I think Lauren and Heidi were cute and endearing.

I wonder what we'll get for the rest of the season... it's coming back, right?
