I am concerned for Melissa, a cracked rib does not heal that quick. I hope she can endure the pain enough for her to continue.

She and real-life boyfriend country singer Chuck Wicks were eliminated from the ABC competition Tuesday night and Hough confirmed that she will not be back for season 9.

Hough, 20, has won the competition in the past, but she's also a country music star and will likely use the time off to focus on her singing career.

She had planned to skip season 8 until producers booked Wicks, 29, to join the show.

"We definitely went further than anticipated. I think he could have made it a little bit further," she said. "But you know what? It’s the name of the game and it’s about fan base and hopefully our country fans will follow us into music."

Hough, who won best new artist at this years Academy of Country Music Awards, will kick off a tour in Hidalgo, Texas on May 9 and will travel through the summer.

Just thought I would post that Shawn and Mark confirmed they are doing the Paso Doble and the quickstep. They said at the star trek premiere yesterday that they had started the Paso but were only at 4 out of 10 of what it should be and hadn't started the quickstep yet. So I think with all the confirmation we have had, the list is correct. Can't wait to see all these dances.
