I'm coordinating a local version of the Amazing Race called the Awesomazing Race, which will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2005. If you'd be interesting in participating as a contestant or judge, please email me at

The basic idea is that four "legs" are compressed into a single long day, with eliminations happening at the various pit stops. This is the second time we've done it, and the first one, done in May, was lots of fun. I'm shooting for 10 teams, and have several open spots.
It's kind of like a way to live out your Amazing Race contestant fantasies, and I can promise that you'll never watch the show without remembering your experiences in the Awesomazing Race.
