Did anyone catch last Friday's show?

That freshman gal is getting a big head. I love her mom. She's always trying to bring her back down to earth..

I also loved that poem that the senior wrote. Though some parts are kinda mean.

And I totally freaked out when Chelsea fell. That's the most dangerous part of cheerleading.

I am love love loving this show!! I hope it comes out on DVD with lots of extras!!

These girls need to get their butts in gear if they want any chance of winning at Nationals. They just seem to have holes in their routine that need to be fixed FAST. When Chelsea fell, I for sure thought that she had seriously injured herself.

My tape was messed up so it was difficult to watch anything, but I listened to it. I liked the poem too. It seemed like Kaitlin's mom was much more concerned about the senior gifts from Saleem than any of the girls. I wonder what kind of things he gives them.

Amanda can be such a brat but she's only 14 or 15. She's not the only kid that age who acts that way.

I really liked the senior poem as well.

Amanda can be a brat but when I take myself out of my real age and transport myself back to high school, it's not atypical teenager behaviour. And there are a lot worse brats than her around. I think she's just swept up in the excitement of a) being in her first year of high school, b) making varsity and c) being on a TV show.

ITA, Moochie. Hard to remember what it's like to be a freshman in HS...all excited to be there. Mix in a little stardom with a reality tv show following you around and add a pinch of "i'm the only freshman talented to make varsity this year" and you have pretty normal behavior.

I thought the senior poem was great and it really seems like the girls are fully appreciating their last dose of HS cheerleading.

That said, why were the moms making SUCH a big deal about the senior gifts?? i thought that was a little crazy...

I've been watching this show pretty regularly (though they keep moving it around on me!), but I caught the Nationals competition on ESPN2 last weekend, so I know how it all ends. It sorted ruined the show for me.

I couldn't really believe how Amanda talked to her mom and her mom just let her talk to her like that. My mom wouldn't have tolerated that for a second, no matter how talented a cheerleader I was. Sigh.

I'm trying really, really hard to not find out early who won at Nationals. I always spoil myself when it comes to shows, so I'm going to attempt to be good this time.

Believe me, if I ever spoke to my mom the way that Amanda spoke to hers, I would have been in so much trouble. That is why these kids behave the way they do. They're not taught to respect those around them.

I already know whether they win or not, but at least I haven't seen it and any possible mistakes yet. I'm saving the cheerleading from ESPN to watch after the finale airs next week. I still wish there were more episodes.

My mom wouldn't have put up with that either, Jenn.

It was kind of nice to see that Ryan got injured. Not nice to see that she was hurt but nice to see that she and/or her stunt group mess up too. They've never shown that. They keep showing everyone else but not Ryan. I was wondering if she was perfect all the time.

I'm trying really hard not to spoil myself for Nationals too. The other day, I wanted to Google something related to cheerleading or the show (can't remember) but stopped myself in case I came across the results.

The week this show premiered, some of the girls were on Regis & Kelly and now I wish I had saved that episode because I can't remember for sure who was there (I know Ryan definitely was because they talked to her since her mom's one of the coaches).

I saw some pictures from a New York trip that were probably taken when they did Regis. I think they were on MySpace. I guess those links are gone now, though. I had them posted in the thread before the server problems.

With some quick Googling, I found a few:

Nicole
Chelsea
Katie
Megan
Alexa (private)
Ayrica
Taylor
Ashley
Amanda

Edit: Crap, I just got spoiled for Nationals by poking around Myspace. I found another Myspace but be warned that she mentions whether or not they win so click at your own risk:

Ashley Nicole
