Hi everyone :wave:,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us :).

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Rae or Mel a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I wouldn't mind seeing actual logos from the more popular shows (Survivor, BB, Amazing Race, The Voice, Idol) in the graphic this time! I will find and post images later.

As for the colors, I like greens and blues for this board. Maybe we could do a lighter red or purplish color. I'll have to look through the color hues later.

Is it a good idea to include Idol when it is ending in the US and there is a board for it? I know you have discussions here for it too and I have no idea if there are other countries have versions and if you have discussions for those but it was just a thought. You could use that space for another logo of another popular show..

Alexa, I like the purple & orange in those colors you posted. Maybe the tan with the purple. I like that, as well.

Would you guys like a banner similar to the one you currently have, with the different symbols of the most popular shows? It might be a little hard to represent this board without doing that but maybe you have some ideas. :)

I'm fine with the logos. i dont know, i dont really care, i just want new colors! :lol: maybe more logos just smaller? like dance moms on there too? and real world or the challenge?

Personally I feel it is simpler to stick with logos, then you do not have to decide on who to include. Logos can represent the shows and to me it fits this board as it was in this banner and the one before it. That could just be me though :lol:.

If you want the Kardashians how about them and some logos :P. (And I do not know if I am kidding or being serious or a mixture of both right now).

If we stick with logos what are the most popular shows you would like included? Your ideas so far have been;

How about The Bachelor/The Bachelorette? Or maybe a rose to represent both of them? Are Dancing With the Stars or The X Factor popular? I do not know much about reality shows past their names as for the most part I do not watch them but to me it could be nice to represent a range of different types; so singing, dancing, cooking, dating, ect.

i was kidding about the kardashians!!! haha

symbols to represent the shows is really cute!

maybe a microphone for the voice or the flag for amazing race or the globe? pitchfork for hells kitchen, rose of bachelor, maybe the bandana for survivor? scale or measuring tape for biggest loser?

i dunno. i would do what jess wants though since she moderates the board! :lol:

Symbols might be good, but people might not know what show they're for if they're not familiar with the show. With the images, at least it's more recognizable, but whatever is fine with me. :lol:

But I definitely agree about changing the colors, for sure! :lol:

thats why i kinda like the symbols though because people that like the shows know what they represent but if someone doesnt watch the bachelor then the rose could symbolize any type of romantic love type reality show.

It is about what everyone wants, not just the moderators. Or even just the two of you, I am sure you have other posters here :look: :P.

You have had the logos in the previous customisation before this so it could be nice to continue with that tradition, but it may also be nice to change things up if you feel that fits better. There are a lot of reality shows out there to cover and symbols may represent more. Personally I prefer the idea of logos more but that is me and my opinion should not count :P.

(As for the pictures in this case the team should be able to find the pictures themselves, your pictures just show us what we are looking for ;)).

id rather have symbols. jess wants logos. haha so i guess whatever the graphic teams feels up for.

I noticed :look:. Feel free to PM regular posters to let them know about this thread if you want more input. Or if you are both happy to leave it to the team to decide which way to go we can just do that :).
