Reality TV - The Biggest Loser 5( Jan 1st)

So much for building anticipation, as NBC will debut the fifth season of this weight-loss reality series exactly two weeks following its fourth-season finale. Contestants trying to shed the pounds will be competing while paired in teams with somebody they have a pre-existing relationship with -- and they'll have to do so without former Red Team trainer Kim Lyons -- who replaced Jillian Michaels prior to the third season only to be replaced by Michaels prior to the fifth season.

i saw tihs show last nite. and let me tell ya..i laughed a couple times..and i felt bad..neways, it's really cool. especially with the weigh loss at the end!! it's pretty amazing. i was watchin the marathon on bravo yesterday and decided to watch the new show last night. i love bob. hehe.=P

The weight loss was amazing for the first week. I loved that they were all scared that they wouldn't put up big numbers and they actually did put up huge numbers. I was sad to see the green team go just because I know how much she wanted her dad to be there and also how important it was that he was there for his health but it looks like he continued when he got home.

I love this show. But I'm not really digging the whole couples thing. I wish they'd split it up into two teams after a while but it doesn't look like that'll be happening.

I do like that Bob and Jillian are going to train together now though.

I forgot it was on and missed the first 40 minutes of the show. I think the right couple got voted off though, that Dad did not want to be there at all!

I don't know who my favorites are, although I can tell you this...Jillian scares me. She is tough!

I became a fan during the last season. DO they all know each well? Bernie and Rebecca how were they matched up? During the way in, she seemed like she didn't know him that well, said something to that effect...even. I thought for sure, since he wasn't able to do much that week, they would be eliminated.

You may have missed the beginning of the show. All of the couples have a close relationship except Bernie and Brittany. They had not met each other until the start of the competition and were both picked from the Biggest Loser Online Club.

I actually love this season so far, its a very good idea. but it would suck if you lost a good amount of weight, and then you're partner didn't and that would cause you to leave. but i think i will like this season very much.. yeah i liked the green team just because i knew the daughter really wanted to lose the weight and she was hoping her father would get into shape again. but i was happy the purple team stayed i hope they get more stronger, i mean they are the youngest team and they lost the challenge, that doesn't look right at all....

wow! at the amount of weight everyone lost. they are really crazy. i am rooting for the orange team( mother/ son). i think they are just too cute. Oh and also the pink team the mom is funny as heck.

did anyone else find it funny that everyone went to Jillian's side first. well except for 2 teams that went to bob but i thought everyone would want to go to bob's but i admit i do love Jillian as a trainer, look at last season, that was amazing. but i guess they are going to work together because they said duo. so we will see.

It was funny that most were going to Jillian because they wanted her to kick their butts. I love that some of the couples were surprised that Bob was tough as he was. Jillian is right...........he's just as much a monster. They have different personalities but they are both tough as trainers.

I'm liking the team set up this season though I do think it sucks when it comes to the eliminations.

I thought it was funny too. When it comes to training, Bob will kick your ass just as hard as Jillian does.

I love that the promo says they will be working together. Should be fun to see as they seem to get along great.

i wonder why what's her name the trainer on the red team isn't back? i never liked her. if i did i would of known her name. okay just looked and her name was Kim. haha yeah. oh well i like Jillian wayyyy better. i really didn't like how Kim threw Amy under the bus, last season. yeah its a competition but come on.

wonder how then teaming up is going to work out.

Sad to see Curtis and Mallory go home, but they look great.

yeah the weight losses this week was very bad. i wonder if its because everyone put up such big weight losses the first week? i was sad to see them go but I'm happy the yellow team gets to stay longer
