From the producing team of Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg ("Punk'd"), The CW hit reality show "Beauty and the Geek" returns with an outrageously fun fourth season where the new contestants are thrown a curveball that is as shocking as it is hilarious.

The contestants expected business as usual -- gorgeous but academically impaired women pairing with brilliant but socially challenged men to test intellect and social skills for a chance to win the $250,000 grand prize. But in their first days, they learn that they'll have to compete against one pair that's the opposite -- a hot guy and a geeky girl -- which immediately throws the rest of the house into turmoil. How will the geeks take to a jock in their midst? Will the beauties try to give a makeover to the geeky girl?

Among the new challenges, the geeks will perform an autobiographical rap in a nightclub and participate in the ultimate social test: the competition for Prom King. The beauties will delve into today's hot topics for the first-ever American Beauty Debate and go back to basics when they find themselves serving as a substitute teacher for a third-grade class. Each of the previous seasons resulted in an unlikely romantic connection between a beauty and a geek. But what happens when one hot guy and one geeky girl get in on the action?

During each competition, the geek tries to pass brains on to the beauty, while the beauty helps the geek overcome social awkwardness. At the end of the 13-week series, each contestant comes out a changed person, and one couple will walk away with a quarter of a million dollars.

There's a Meet the Cast thing up on the CW site and they list 20 contestants. I wonder why they only included 16 of them in the picture I posted. Weird.

Anyways, the twist sounds interesting. I hope it actually is.

I love me some Beauty and the Geek! I can't wait for the premiere.

One again, half of the 'beauties' aren't even that pretty. Out of the geeks, my early pick would be William. Luke looks like he'll be the token 'hot' geek.

The twist of having the female geek and male beauty should be interesting. I'm kinda more interested in seeing how the beauties will interact with the girl geek. Hope they're not mean!

Also one of my brother's friends is on the show this year. I don't know the guy, but my brother says I'll recognize him because he's a Live Action Role Player.

Is it just me or does David look a lot older than the other guys? He looks like he's 35.

i watched bits and pieces of the show last night b/c BB was on, but i've taped it and will watch the rest later.

lol, watching the casting special i was super mad that Nate was in Raleigh, NC about an hour away from me and i didn't even know about it. i loved me some Nate!

the people this season seem interesting to say the least. i agree that many of the 'beauties' aren't that pretty ... and some of the geeks this time around seem much geekier than past people. ... i think that John, Luke, and the one Josh guy have potential to be cute post makeover, that's always my favorite part of the show.

and the 'beauty' guy is totally an actor, his name is Sam Horrigon or something like that, he was on 'Grace Under Fire' and in the movie Little Giants. i knew as soon as i saw him that i knew him from somewhere. lol, he's SOO not that attractive, they really should have gotten a better looking 'hot' guy.

I loved seeing Nate and Jennylee again.

I think it's hilarious that Katie said her skills include "finding Waldo in the Where's Waldo books" and "making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."

Hollie is my favorite beauty. On her myspace page she says:
"I LOVE READING AND DOING LOGIC PROBLEMS, I KNIT FOR RELAXATION, AND FOR FUN I WATCH HARRY POTTER AND LOTR OVER AND OVER AGAIN.... BUT I PLAY THE DUMB BLOND ROUTINE, TO GET WHAT I WANT...AND I ALWAYS GET WHAT I WANT :-)"

There's no real "Nate" among the geeks this year but I like Josh and he's Hollie's partner so I'm routing for them. Hollie plays Betty Boop and Fiona from Shrek at Universal Studios! That's awesome.

Yay for another season! It was funny to see all the people being interviewed to be on the show. I like most of the people they picked to be contestants but some are only ok like Jasmine. She really bothers me and isn't even that pretty. I defintiely think I'm going to like the twist and I did recognize the 'beauty' guy. Seems like it's going to be another good season!

Sam was also Val in BRINK! , and was 'Thing' in an episode of One Tree Hill. {the best episode ever}

His face isn't really 'hot' IMO. And I wish the show would actually get just regular people rather than getting actors.

but..

I do think the premiere was good and I can't wait for the season.

I don't really think any of the beauties, including the guy, are WOW at all. They're pretty (and some are more cute than pretty) but not WOW beautiful.

If I had to pick a favourite beauty and a favourite geek right now, I'd pick Hollie and Luke. Too bad they're not together.

I really don't like Shay or Jennifer.
