I liked him from the beginning! I never believed any of that “negativity” and knew it was all just to stir up drama.

That is so ridiculous. lol. I want a long engagement but 5 years is way too long. Isnt it a pain for them to deal with all the planning and stuff?

They were supposed to get married last June, but because of, well, 2020, they didn’t, but before that, they were building a house and a business and filming a renovation show for CNBC, so they had a lot going on. I think the planning wasn’t what was keeping them from doing it, but finding a good date and the time to do it.

i dont see how claire will ever find someone with her personality lol

just because you are busy doesnt mean you cant get married. i mean, my friends got married over zoom even though they were planning a huge wedding. they were going to postpone it til the following summer, but decided just to go for it. i think it speaks volumes too because if you truly love someone you will want to marry them, its not really about the ceremony but hey. to each their own.

Exactly what you said: “To each their own”. Every couple is different and just needs to do things in their own timeline. Just because you have a long engagement doesn’t mean you’re not ready to get married or don’t love the person, it’s just life.

Also like you said, it’s not about the ceremony, that’s just one day, but again, everyone is different and they’ll get married when the time is right for them.
