I saw a preview for this during last night's Grey's Anatomy.

I can't wait. I'll update this post as I find new info and as they release the names of the Bachelorettes.

U.S. Navy Lieutenant Andy Baldwin, M.D., 30, an undersea medical officer for a special operations dive unit stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii - a real-life "officer and a gentleman" - faces the most exciting mission of his life -- finding true love -- when the tenth edition of ABC's popular romance reality series, "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman," premieres MONDAY, APRIL 2 (9:45-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Andy, an accomplished triathlete and winner of recent humanitarian awards for his work in Laos last summer -- on a military mission where he treated over 600 Laotians in remote mountain villages -- grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he was valedictorian in high school and a competitive swimmer who made All-American. He was even named ESPN's National Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1995. The Navy offered him a full ROTC scholarship, which he took and went to Duke University, where he was a varsity letter winner on the men's swim team and began training for marathons, all while taking a pre-med course load and earning a degree in biology, with a concentration in genetics. After graduating Duke with honors, he enrolled in the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine and was a surgical intern at Naval Hospital San Diego, where he graduated in 2003.

In bringing the iconic romantic movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" to real life, the women during the course of this season's "Bachelor" must be prepared to participate in a high energy "boot camp," complete with a "drill sergeant," plus triathlon events (swimming, biking and running) and race car driving. With Andy's true humanitarian spirit a large factor in his life, the bachelorettes will also participate in a charity event for an inner city school in Los Angeles. Many other adventurous dates will test the ladies' perseverance in pursuing their romantic objective, along with fun, exciting and exotic dates that will elicit real and raw emotions.

As in the past, women will continue to be eliminated each week, but if, at any point along the way, a woman should decide that she's no longer interested in the Bachelor, she can reject his invitation to continue dating. Some lucky women will meet his family, and he will visit their hometowns for a slice of their life in an effort to determine the woman with whom he is most compatible.

At the end of the journey, the Bachelor may quite possibly have found true love. But the big question is: After all of this, will he pop the question, and will she say yes?

although the concept of the Bachelor is a pretty cheesy and unrealistic idea, I still watch it every season. I guess I would call it a guilty pleasure. I"m looking forward to this season. This year's bachelor is Hot with a capital "H"

I saw Andy on The View Friday morning. He was just grinning throughout and positively giddy. I hope that bodes well for this season of The Bachelor.

I can't stand that one girl who was saying that the girl who got the rose didn't deserve it and then she started yelling at the drunk girl. Wow she was a b****. She reminds me of one of the girls from Laguna Beach season 3

okay my take.

First of all, Andy is totally hot. Like, hello. I think this is going to be a really good season of the Bachelor. Hopefully the best.

I was surprised he gave Stephanie the first impression rose.

Lindsay was something else. Was she for real? I mean, come on. First, she said she couldn't believe Andy gave Stephanie the first rose because Stephanie was heinous. Which was totally ridiculous, because Lindsay definitely wasn't any prettier. And her attitude was disgusting. Then she laughed when Blakeney fell of the chair, and then got in her face. And then the icing on the cake, walking out of the rose ceremony. Saying things such as "I'm out of here. I'm done. I'm prettier than some of those girls. I guess you just have to be a fake blonde with fake ****. But it's okay because Andy was short and his teeth look fake. And blahdityblah."

I honestly thought they were going to keep that girl on solely for entertainment purposes. Glad they didn't though. -CrazyBeautiful- I totally agree. My first thought was "Oh my gosh she looks like Cami from Laguna Beach. And she acts like her too."

I thought it was funny that that one short haired 33 year old lady with the big eyes and big ears thought she definitely had the 'upper hand' because of her OCD workout habits. Then she didn't get a rose.

The cake was, um, cute.

I like Nicole and the girl that did the backflips and Bevin. although it's way early to judge yet.

by the way, the one that sang. I can't remember her name. It was sweet, but it wasn't very good. :/

Andy was on The View, I think Friday, and said that he was engaged and really in love. Also that his parents and his sister really liked the girl that he picked. I can't wait to see who she is. I also liked the girl Peyton from Tennesse, who's birthday was the same as his.

I am watching online right now and already addicted because I love Andy, not only is he cute but super sweet and really into this, at times awkward though but it is cute! Some of the girls were interesting for sure. I am glad though that he is engaged and in love and everything. Got to say I love Bevin just because she is from the same town I grew up in and seems great.

That girl definately reminded me of Cami from Laguna Beach 3 as well, I almost started laughing

I really like Andy. He came off as someone who was genuinely interested in finding the woman of his dreams and I loved the fact that he was so excited about all the women there! Any guesses on who he chooses? I don't know all the girls by name yet, but there are a few that I really liked. I don't understand why in the world he gave that one girl the "first impression" rose. She came off as a total b!tch afterwards.
