The Apprentice 4

I can't believe no one started a thread for this show yet. If there is one, point me to it so I can close this one.

I was surprised not to see one, too! Thanks for starting it, Jenna.

So, it's men versus women this time around. And the team votes if the PL will be exempt the next round, if that team wins. Weird, to say the least.

I don't think there was anyone on this earth (if so, I will VERY surprised) that wasn't glad that Melissa got the boot first. She was hella obnoxious and arrogant, to put it mildly. Oh, and Hispanic. Did ya'll catch that she was Hispanic? I did, the first 1000x she mentioned it.

Not that Chrissy did a great job in leading the team, because she didn't. But, still, Melissa *had* to go.

You're welcome. I was surprised because the show started yesterday. Someone usually gets a thread going at least a few days in advance for the big shows. I hope other people are watching and are going to post with us. *prods people*

I'm definitely glad that Melissa is gone. All I know about her is that she's Hispanic and she's really positive, optimistic person. Oh, and she's very annoying. I cannot stand women who claim that they just can't get along with other women. If you can't get along with 50% of the population, they're not the ones with the problem, honey. Saying you can't get along with women in a job interview? STUPID.

For real.

And, when she said that women are intimidated by her, I wanted to slap her and escort her back down to earth.

I don't know if I like the whole "voting for exemptions" thing. If you can't be guaranteed an exemption if you win, then why bother volunteering to be PM at all? It seems rather risky.

I loved Carolyn's face when Melissa said women were intimidated by her beauty.

They didn't have exemptions the first season, did they? I think people will still step up because it shows leadership. The voting is still dumb though. Why would people vote to give their PM an exemption? It's like being able to give your immunity away on Survivor. No one does does that. If you vote to give your PM an exemption, you're giving Trump one less person to fire and maybe he's coming after you.

No, they didn't have exemptions in the first season. Then they had them for the next two seasons and now they're voted on. I really don't like it when reality shows introduce new rules every season. I personally don't think they have to change things to spice things up - I'd much rather them stay the same.

I agree that giving your PM an exemption is stupid, especially as the weeks go by and there are fewer possible firees.

Yeah I wish they would have left the exemption thing the same. The PM on the guys team did suck and he didn't deserve to be exempt next time if his team won again. So I think it was right that they didn't give the exemption to him. It gets fishy when there actually is a guy or girl who gives their all and brings in a win for their team and they are the main reason their team won. The team could still vote against an exemption just b/c they don't want to give that person a free ride if they win again. People who do a great job are seen as a threat to others who don't do so well, so I'm thinking this exemption voting thing could cause some great drama!!

Oh and I was clapping when Melissa got fired! She totally Sucked!!!

how annoying and outspoken was Melissa, she obviously had a major problem with Chrissy; who wasnt a great leader I agree (the whole XXX thing) but still Melissa was being totally out of line.

In the board room where she was all "women dont like me, im beautiful" and so on, how annoying .

The guys were ok, didnt think much of the project manager, I dont think he's quite in the same league as the others but time will tell, I agreed with the choice not to give him exemption.

One final thing Chrissy stupidly grinning when she didnt get fired was really annoying and when Donald Trump told her to stop I thought it was quite funny.

I agree with everyone else in that I am happy to see Melissa go. I really can't stand girls who say they dont get along with other women because they are jealous of their beauty/smarts or whatever.

Chrisyy's idea of the XXX was so stupid! I would have immediately thought porn or I'd be ebarrassed to even check it out. She was very dumb to sit their and grin when Melissa got fired!

I'm not sure about the whole voting for exemptions either. In some cases the teams wins by luck and the leader totally sucked. In that case I'd hate it if they got an exemption. But then there are leaders who do awesome and may deserve the exemption but maybe the team will feel threatened and wont want to give them exemption. That guy (PM) that won this time around will definitely be on everyone's radar because he is so annoying. You know Trump will get rid of him quick since he rambles endlessly!

Looks like Carolyn is sittin' in the big chair next week. I wonder if the Donald had something more important to do.

While this isn't Apprentice related, it's Trump related.

From People.com

Donald Trump's Wife Pregnant

Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Knauss, are expecting their first child together, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

"They are expecting in the spring," says the spokesperson, adding: "They are very happy."

As for becoming a father again – while this will be his first child with the 35-year-old Melania, he has four other children – Trump, 59, "is loving it," the rep tells PEOPLE. "He's always said he wouldn't mind having more of a family."

The New York-based Apprentice star and real-estate developer has three children by his first wife, Ivana (Donald Jr., 27; Ivanka, 23; and Eric, 21) and a daughter with second wife Marla Maples (Tiffany, 11).

"We want to have a family, yes," Melania, a Yugoslavian-born model, told PEOPLE at the couple's splashy wedding at Trump's Palm Beach estate, Mar-a-Lago, last January.

And as wedding guest and The Insider host Pat O'Brien told the magazine at the reception: "Donald has always said he used to make a bad husband and a great father. He says this time around he wants to make a great father and a great husband."

Go big daddy, go!

I thought she looked like a rabbit.

Thanks for the article, Age-a-licious. I heard about it on the radio on my way home.

Yeah, I heard about that today, as well.

Trump is going to guest-star on an episode of the soap, Days of our Lives, in October/November, I think.
