I just finished season 1 here in Aussie and I'm really glad that Adrienne won cause I really like her and in fact, two of my favourites were the final two.

And, one more thing, I think Robin is secretly worships the devil [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

I agree Chocolate Covered Almonds that Catie is getting very annoying. And as far as the fainting thing goes, I was kind of thinking the same thing. Now, in episode three, it seemed like someone was going to get sick, just like last time. And I hope Mercedes is okay too. I do like her even though I'm hoping some of the other girls will win over her.

I was crying from laughter when I saw that Shandi colapsed and nobody noticed [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] I know that its mean but I was laughing at the fact that nobody noticed...but i was stuned by her transformation, she looks great and plus she has the body for the high fashion runway shows---i still dont know if she learned to walk in heels, cus she looks akward just walking in flat shoes [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Catie is such an idiot, I hate her even more then Camille...she is what i call a USER! but i do like her new hair-do, i have a feeling that X(cannot remmember the rest of her name) will scrach her eyes out in the next episode YAY!

Jenascia's comments just crack me up

Yoanna hairdo is the best, and the girl can wear it too. she is still my fave. i like her cus everything she sees as a good thing for her career

Adrianne is supposedly in or going to Milan, I didn't see her in any of the fashion shows during fashion week (But then again I didn't go through ALL of them, just the ones I like Valentino, Oscer De La Renta, Chloe, Gucci, Chanel, Versace, there are more but I'll stop there) I think she got bad management, none of Willie's girls are up there right now, and that my friends is a damn shame...she should move to IMG when her contract gets up if she isn't dried out...but I'm excited she is coming back to guest star.

Well I think Jenasica's a pretty girl and I hope she doesn't give up (though she's not suited for the runway IMHO) but I knew she would go eventually. The height thing would have doomed her sooner or later no matter how much Miss Tyra talks about "plus" size models or "shorter models".

I thought Catie would go though - what a drama queen and she's only 18! How does she expect to survive in the world of modeling with girls who already seasoned pros at 16 if she cries at every little old thing? She won't last long.

Either will Camille. Not only do the others not like her and she keeps to herself but unless she has an attitude transplant she'll be sent packing.

Mercedes is my favorite now. I think her Billie Holiday picture was by far the best and Mercedes also has that other thing models/actresses need in front of a camera - her eyes don't look dead and actually look like there's something (life,spirit,etc.) beyond them (instead of just a person looking at a camera lens). Sara's eyes on the other hand have that dead look to them - she looks like someone who's posing and is aware of it. Mercedes also owns kudos from me for pulling herself together in spite of her (serious) illness and getting the job instead of complaining (like Catie) or mouthing off while shooting (like Jenascia).

I wonder if we're being set up here. In retrospect last season Adrianne got a lot of (favorable) attention to her so we would root for her as the underdog even though all the industry "experts" drooled over Elyse first. This season all the photographers in particular seem to love Yoanna (very different from Elyse personality wise but similar in that) but Mercedes is starting to get a lot of sympathetic airtime even though she's in no danger of going anywhere yet. Hmmmm.....

Speaking of Adrianne. You go, Ms. Curry! I loved seeing her. She's still cooler than anyone in season 2 or anyone in (current) reality TV. If I was UPN I would give her her own show. Seriously. ANTM is now a success in UPN terms and Adrianne had a lot to do with its success - without her Season 1 would have been boring.

She was my favorite. She was funny and gorgeous, but I don't think she had enough determination to make it. She kept saying "Screw it" about her height and about her walk as if she was there only to be on tv or just for the hell of it. I'll miss her personality, but I didn't expect her to win at all after hearing her attitude about it. In the first episode, she seemed really into it, but afterward it was like her spirit dropped.

I disagree. I don't like her. She is very very plain without makeup and she has too many mood swings. But I think the judges like her and I have a feeling she'll be there until close to the end. It is a shame too because she RUINED Marilyn Monroe. Maybe I'm just a bit biased because I adore Marilyn, but she was not all about sex. She had an innocence about her that too many people don't know about. Catie looked like a hooker type up there, not a sweet woman who knew how to be sexy and vulnerable at the same time.
I think Camille will probably be gone soon though and I'm glad. I think the judges are sick of her back talking. If they ever suspected Elyse thought she was superior to the judges, they must feel like idiots and they must be wishing for Elyse to come back compared to Camille's superiority complex.

As far as Mercedes goes, I think that it is cool that she is going on in spite of her illness and she poses very well. But her personality when she gets giddy and has that crazy laugh just turns me off.

I really liked Yoanna's Audrey Hepburn photo although I'd say she should have toned down the intensity in her eyes. If she would have relaxed them like she did in the shoe photo shoot, it would have been perfect. However, it might have just been the picture they used. There was another picture or pose they showed her in when she was actually doing the shoot that looked much more like Audrey.

I wish Adrienne would have been shown more. On the previews they showed her on the runway at the house but they didn't on the episode. I definitly miss her and Elyse. I am constantly hoping to see them on some late night tv show so I can catch another glimpse. I also hope they have stayed friends. They were so much fun together.

I loved the Camille photo, she actually looks very good as Diana Ross, I think she really captured the essance of her, but yeah I agree that she maybe speaks her mind...too much than she really needs to. She goes of...and Catie, make her stop crying so damned much, every episode it's like 'what's she going to cry about now?'
I though Shandi did a really good Nicole Kidman, I could see her as the next Nicole, well I don't know in the act but with the make-up and everything she looked great. Have you noticed a lot of this is like surrounded around Shandi, I really think she might be the next top model only because they could be like 'it's like a Cinderella story, a girl kind of like from rags to riches'...you understand?
My gosh, I'm going to totally miss Jenasica, she was so pretty and I just really liked her all of a sudden. I don't understand why they just keep picking on her just because she's short. I just must say, if they gave her a different person to do, not Selma, then I would think she would do it better, I find Selma kind of a hard one to do so I couldn't really tell who she was doing if I didn't hear who they were choose to do.

Yoanna is just getting prettier and prettier

Mercedes Billie Holiday photo was just amazing. she captured her essance.
and i like her more and more with every episode. she is so strong and i understand why she didnt want to tell anyone that she is ill.

Shandi is improving, but there is no personality there

Adrienne was cool as always but they should had have her more in the episode. they should also do a reunion show with all the girls from season 1...now that would be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone's photos turned out nicely.

I still don't like Shandi, she still seems to nerdy to me, I don't think she has what it takes.

April ,no offence, is actually ugly. I really don't think she looks good at all, especially those bangs!!! It's awful....

Yoanna is very Audrey Hepburn. I really like her I hope she does well.

Mercedes looked beautful. She seems so sweet and kind but also independent. I think that kind of attitude is what you need in this business. You need to look sweet but be confident and strong. I really hope Mercedes wins.

Jenascia wasn't too special to me and neither is Sara or Xeromaria (did I spell taht right?).

I really hope that Camille and Catie get voted off. If CAtie cries on tonights episode I swea I'm giong to scream!!!!! She can't take a thing!!!

I think April is pretty. Her eyes were too plain before but with makeup on her eyes, she is very pretty.

I think Catie might be gone tonight. But I'm hoping for Camille.

I agree that Sara doesn't have anything special. She might be nice and she is pretty, but her eyes are dead. So tired and bored.

I must be stupid or something, but I had no idea that April was Japanese. And I don't see anything wrong with her wanting to be known as American especially if she isn't in touch with that part of her heritage. And Sara doesn't look exotic to me at all. She looks American. Americans all look different from the next.

I didn't really understand the point of the exercises they did for "charisma". It seemed to me it was just a way for the viewers to get to know the girls a little better.
Also, Janice ought to know by now that a lot of people think she is a b*tch. She shouldn't get offended because it is true.
I am glad Mercedes finally told about her illness, if not to the contestants but at least to the judges. They need to know about it although she might not want to get sympathy. I thought it was a little rude for Janice to announce it instead of letting Mercedes.

I was so excited about the photo shoot when it started. I flashed back to those bottled water ads that look so beautiful with the girl in a mermaid suit?
However, the only photo I really liked was Yoanna's. She looked so serene. I think what happened was they did a really bad job at selecting photographs. In the shoots, some of the girls performed very well but the photos didn't turn out to match their performance.
Why did they choose the cross eyed photo of Catie? Couldn't they find another?
Sara definitly did better with her eyes. There may be hope for her yet.
Camille's posing was just rediculous. It was crazier than her jumping in the shoe shoot (which didn't make the final photo). She doesn't listen to the people helping her. She just does her own thing completely.

I was really hoping Camille would be kicked out. I cannot believe how cocky she was! For the ad thing they had to do, she spent most of the time talking about herself. And just like Bethany's obsession with her boobs, if Camille really didn't care that people don't like her then she wouldn't talk about it so much!
I was sad Xiomara got kicked out because I wanted Camille gone first but also because Xiomara looked very feminine at the eliminations and they said that was something she had a problem with.

As the weeks go by, Yoanna is getting stronger and stronger. She's like a subtle version of Elyse.

I'm not liking the whole Asian/Black/ethnic model thing they're putting on the girls, the confrontation between Camille and April about their race just turned me off, and Tyra told them, so they bought into it, there are Asian models, there are African American models, I mean there are probably more brown haired, brown eyed girls, or blonds, what have you that are caucasion...but when you really get into the fashion business, and follow it and so fourth, how many models today are actually American born? I mean the top hundred models right now (On Models.com, though I don't think its completely accurate...but close) most of the girls are foreign...Liya (the blackgirl on vogue cover above) is Etheopian I think, Natalia Vodianova (Vogue, Calvin Kline girl, every runway show) is Russian, Karolina Kurkova, Czech Republic, and don't even get me started on the number of Brazilian's....I'm not saying that America does not have their fair share of models, they do, but there are much more foreign girls, and I don't know if I blame the industry for that, or the girls themselves, not many girls want to grow up to be models, they want to grow up to be Britney Spears, the weight thing in America is insane and I think some girls have this attitude about it, if you can model, do it, or at least try to do it, start young, don't wait until you're 20-something.

Camille is getting on my nerves, big time...Catie isn't recovering herself...Shandi I'm liking more, but is no Elyse...Mercedes and Sara, look girl next door to me, but I like them, Sara still reminds me a little bit of Gia, thats fading though...Yoanna, I'm liking a little bit more now...April hmmmm...

I have developed some respect for Tyra now, only because she started young, I think her head is wierd, and I think she thinks she is bigger than she is, but that aside, she started young, as most models do, and thats hard...

Don't get me wrong I [img]smilies/love.gif[/img] [img]smilies/love.gif[/img] [img]smilies/love.gif[/img] this show but I think it's just a way to get Tyra's face out there again. i mean you don't hear about her very much and the only runway stuff she seems to be doing is Victoria Secret.

It didn't bother me that much to see Xiomara go, she was nothing special. I think that all the shots they picked had there flaws. Alot of the girls had cool positions and stuff but there face looked dead (Mercedes, Yoanna, Catie)

Camille shoul hav left too. What was she doing with her hands in the water?!?!?!?!?!? Plus she would be down there for 3 seconds and then come back up for air.

April did the best but I still don't like her much.

I know it sounds mean but , it's going to be fun to see Camille getting that allergic reaction before one of the shoots.
