30 Days - An FX Original Series featuring Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me)

Series Summary:
From Academy Award nominee Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) comes 30 Days, a new series where Morgan will explore what life changing experiences are possible in 30 days. The concept for the show stemmed from the transformation Spurlock underwent when he ate nothing but fast food for 30 days in his movie Super Size Me. In this new FX series, Morgan Spurlock asks the question, what would happen if people spend 30 days living in someone else’s shoes? Find out the answer as he brings you 30 life changing days in one hour focusing on topics such as minimum wage, anti-aging strategies, and binge drinking.

Quote:
"Minimum Wage" (Pilot) - airing June 15th at 10PM:
Morgan Spurlock and his fiancée Alex leave their fabulous New York lifestyles behind for the heart of the Midwest, Columbus, Ohio. Morgan and Alex work at multiple minimum wage jobs for 30 days earning $5.15 per hour. They get to experience first hand the struggles minimum wage earning families face as Morgan’s nieces come to live with them.

THis might be interesting. I didn't really like Supersize Me, I found it to be very full of opinion and not many actual facts. Althought I know McDonald's food is bad for you, I think that he stretched the limits a bit ehre.

I thought SSM was fantastic!

I feel like the show is the smartest reality televison show. It's actually more like a documentary, which I like. I think this show will be very interesting and controversial.

30 days....

I watched the episode about the man living as a Muslim for 30 days. It was a good episode and much more interesting than the one with the guy taking the supplements. This week's episode also looks to be rather intriguing. It's about abortion.. pro-life and pro-choice. Does anyone else watch 30 Days? it's on Wednesday Aug.23, i found a video clip from you tube >> YouTube - 30 Days on FX: Abortion

I like 30 Days. My fave so far was the minuteman who had to live with illegal immigrants. It brought up some good issues.

i agree with you MethodicWays.. Btw... tonight is the Abortion episode of 30 Days on FX channel at 10PM ET. They will show it again at 11PM ET (8PM PT). >> A woman who is pro-choice lives in a group home for pregnant women, operated by people who do not believe in abortion.. its worth watching if you are interested in this issue..

The guy that did the movies 'Super Size Me' (Morgan someone...) did this show. There were only a few episodes, and only one of which was him as the person living for 30 days in a particular ego-dystonic condition. He lived on minimum wage with his girlfriend for 30 days, and had to struggle through manual labour, working many jobs, having no extra spending money, and the big one - dealing with the poor medical system.
Other episodes had other people living in conditions that were ego-dystonic to them, like the christian living in the Muslim household, or the couple who were big on products and mod cons, living in an organic, carbon neutral farm.
It was a very interesting show!
