Dunno. But I'll never get what he saw in Brooke. Let alone preferring her over Sam! Watching the opening scene of episode 1 and he's complimenting Sam and then he sees Brooke and it's as if Sam isn't there any more, he's so fixated on Brooke. And I'm like "is he NUTS???!!!"

It occurs to me that Ryan Murphy actually answered this question in one of the commentaries. He would've picked Brooke. It was apparently always RM's intention to have Harrison and Brooke together at the end of the show.

Well, Harrison wasn't good enough for Sam, anyway. She shoulda ended up with Lex from Smallville. But it's just as well the show ended before we had to see Brooke win out over Sam that way.

Well that really makes you wonder why Brooke went running off like that then. It explains Sam looking a bit upset, but not THAT upset, but Brooke's reaction was really strong for having WON.
