Just finished the season and omg, these two killed me. They were the highlights in what I thought was an overall very strong season. I'm all about Elektra Elektra Elektra. Elodie is a goddess!

And that ^^ scene right before the final battle - just perfect. Playful, loving and tragic to their final moments. Obviously I knew her death was coming but all I wanted was them to escape and spend their lives fighting side by side.

That was a great scene for a lot of reasons, namely for me, it was the culmination of what was building throughout the season. Elektra is Matt's partner and equal in every way, not just in how she brings out his passionate/vigilante side but in the way she challenges him with her wit and sass and the way she's able to read him and connect with him on an emotional level. It is truly no wonder why Matt wanted them to be together, even after he found out that he was her mission. She's the person who completes him, the one who makes him feel whole, his soulmate. One of the best, most revealing scenes of the season right here:

^ It really goes to show that even though they had been separated for a long time, he somehow knew she was okay, which is why he could go on fine with his life. But then, when the reality that she could be gone was right in front of him, he just didn't know how to deal.

I love the OP!!! And I like that Black Sky is added in the title.

UGH. The gifs here are KILLING me. When two people can be perfect for each other but circumstances just can't have them be together. I really felt their connection on the show and that they do have a past that they both really treasured. Matt's "speech" to Elektra is really one of the most touching parts of their relationship and I teared up watching that.

The emotional stuff is probably my favorite part of their dynamic but their banter and sass is so great to watch as well.

E:: Of course you do. Check, please.
M: You're still so arrogant
E: Just realistic

E: Because so far, they have.

I could watch a show with just them, really. That's how much I love watching them together.

Elektra just gives no fcks and I love it. In a world where women constantly feel the need to apologize for expressing opinions, and pretend they're not independent just so they won't threaten the poor, fragile male egos around them, Elektra and her confidence is really a breath of fresh air.

I love how all her scenes with Matt felt so natural, I could totally watch them for hours.
