I recently completed an NVQ and had to do some tests and I want to do another course, but maybe not for a while.

I'm really glad that I've got today off work, it's far too hot for me.

Good luck for your first day at work. I hope it goes really well.

Is it a permanent. Cos I know someone who lived in another country for a year. I think it was Canada.

Thank you for the good luck wishes, guys, first day was pretty chill and fun. I'd love to go around and post but since I didn't properly plan for my first day with the new schedule, I have a few things I need to get done now, otherwise I'll be getting less than 3 hours of sleep.

I'll be back tomorrow (today, actually) to do my daily posting round.



(And Gina, I'm not watching Copa America because 1) I don't like football and 2) I heard the Brazilian players are - were? - making a fool out of themselves )

That's great.

It's a National Vocational Qualification and it's done by the person needs to prove their competency in the job.

Mine was in Business Administration and it was a level three, meaning I'll have a diploma in Business Admin.

I had to deal directly with the kids today, I'm kinda freaking out because I'm starting to have these weird, motherly urges, and last thing I need right now is wanting to have kids. It was a cool day, I think it might be a fun job after all.

That's good! So you are having a good time in your job. It's not easy to take care of kids that aren't yours. But they're lovely, I can't imagine my life without becoming a mother sometime. It's nice and I'm glad that you had fun .

I don't know how they were playing but I know that Brazil was always a strong team. I'll have to watch the final math this Saturday and I don't want to, I think that I'm not giving luck to my team .

Well, it seems like we all are busy. I won't daily post today and tomorrow because I have a final exam really close and there's still too much stuff to study.

This is funny.

So it's like a masters degree? Or is it more of having a license to be a professional? I know (for us here) accountants, doctors, etc. need to take a Professional Licensing Exam for them to practice their profession. I didn't take any of that since I took a business management course in college.

It was very interesting. I'm sorry you don't have anything like that.

It's not something you need to do, but it does show you can do the job and it's not something that you pass or fail. I feel it also helped me to think about my job more.
