EPISODE 9 - "Speak of the Devil"
In the wake of Fisk's public revelation, Ben, Foggy, and Karen begin to think about how to uncover his past, while Matt continues to insist they go through the legal system. Matt tracks down Vanessa at her art gallery, hoping to gain insight into Fisk by speaking with her, and encounters Fisk himself. The firm's client, Elena Cardenas, is killed by a junkie hired by Fisk's men. Meanwhile, Nobu demands a promised city block from Fisk, who agrees on the condition Nobu provide him with a "specialist" in return to deal with the vigilante, which turns out to be Nobu himself. Fisk makes a public speech designed to lure the vigilante out. Enraged by Elena's death, Matt goes to an abandoned warehouse where he believes he will find Fisk. Instead, he is confronted by Nobu. Matt eventually wins, though not before Nobu manages to severely injure him. Fisk confronts the injured Matt, beating him nearly to death. Matt barely escapes, only to collapse at his home in front of Foggy.

pretty boring episode to me, just a lot of talking.

I'm starting to get a little annoyed. maybe this show just isn't for me. it has some great intense moments and then at other times its just too slow for me.

and i still dont like foggy or karen that much, they feel so disconnected from the storyline iMO.

the ending with fisk was obviously the best part

im gonna finish it out for sure, i just dont know if sueprhero stuff is really my thing, I've never really been into it but after the rave reviews on this i wanted to give it a chance.

its a good show, i definitely think that, I just have to be picky with what i watch because i will have less time next year for shows.

but good thing about netflix is that the episodes are easy to watch. so most likely i will watch season 2 just to see how it plays out.

I'm glad you've decided to finish it and give it a proper chance.

They release all the episodes at once, so you can just watch it when you can. So, I think that does help.

true but that does put more pressure on me weirdly. i hate knowing there are 13 episodes i am now behind on. lol

but there is quite a gap between seasons so at least its plenty of time to catch up.

Yeah, they only started filming Season Two this month, I believe, so possibly around the same time as this year.

I like this ep overall. Especially the last few minutes. And that Nobu-DD fight was just...

Add to that Fisk-DD fight in the end too and Foggy finding out about Matt's vigilante side. I mean by this point, it's pretty much the meat of the show so if anyone has endured watching until this ep, they're bound to stay on.

i found the fight scene with Matt and Nobu very hard to watch at times.

I liked how soon Foggy found out, so it wasn"t going to be dragged out.

It was really unfair of Fisk to fight Matt in the end. He just came off fighting Nobu and he was weak & tired. So Fisk can easily defeat him.
