10-23-13, 04-23-14 "Passed Pawn" 14.06 Jeremy Sikes pawns off his watch and ring for 200 bucks and gets on a monster winning streak in Vegas Casino and then is found dead in an alley. Money gone but "Mission Impossible" brief case ditched in a dumpster. He had won $350,000! Usual suspects pile up. Pit Boss at Pike's Casino, Bobby Esposito, who later is arrested by Jim Brass when found in a parking garage and had a dead Alonzo Pierce in his trunk. Pierce worked for Esposito and he wasn't loyal, he was stealing from the house. Esposito told Brass what would happen in Sam Braun's old Mob days.He asked Jim to send him to Carson City with the old boys. I was surprised that Jim agreed. Another suspect was the dealer Kristi Holt. She came up missing and Jim found her under a bed. Her link to Sikes was that he had her hubbies watch. Her hubby Simon was killed 2 months prior. But both her and Esposito have alibis for the time Sikes was killed. next is Ruby Banks, and her boys Kyle and Zeke. They own the pawn shop.

Morgan and Sean Yeager, 1st shift CSI worked good together. He was probably there because Nick was on vacation? But with the limited screen time of Sara, Greg and Fin, someone could have been her partner and not bring in another shift. But it was rumored if Nick leaves the show like Catherine did that MAYBE Yeager would fill his void?? It was cute where Russell said he liked to see Morgan and Yeager playing nice together. Then Yeager saying he was "Rizzoli" and she was "Isles", was funny too. Well Kyle and Mom were worthless but "Rain Man" Zeke was very helpful to Morgan and Sean. He helped Morgan find the big bucks in the Pierce pawned stereo speaker. Pierce also had a "clean suit" alibi. He only roughed up Sikes. Later Zeke was taken by Luis Delgado, strip club owner and mob sleaze to find his stolen Heroin. Pawn store owner Ruby Banks and sons, well the dead Kyle anyway, had a scheme with Sikes and Delgado and others to "rob" their homes and not report all and pawn it to pay for pot etc. But Sikes became a liability. Ruby had him killed. She had found 100G of Delgado's Heroin in a stolen container and re sold it. Zeke led Delgado off to protect his mom.

It was so cool Brass going to Delgado and telling him, " Your lap dog is going to mess himself on the rug!" Then he caps one in the knee and points the gun at Delgado. That Jim Brass will be missed if he actually was let go.

Russell and wife Barbara talk about son Charlie and his starting Point Guard scholarship at Eastern Indiana U. D. B. said that they moved to Vegas so they could watch Charlie play ball. But he goes to Indiana they won't be able to. Later she tells Russell that she asked an old couple in Seattle about a home they love and may someday sell it to them. She is worried about him working to hard. He said he was fine and someday they will talk about that house, But even if son stayed in Vegas and the they bought that house in Seattle they won't be able to watch him play College ball? Or with him in Indiana U

Okay very first thing: Now I remember why I hate shows on Sundays. Stupid football tends to push the shows back, so you end up not knowing at what time the shows are going to start. Luckily I saw on FB that it was starting 15 minutes late, so I was able to prepare myself. I know it's going to keep happening, which is going to end up making me not watch the show live. Okay my little rant is over .

So these are my thoughts (may be a little out of order):

• So we start the episode with Finn in the car sitting on a bomb. Nice way to start the season. I wasn't too scared for her only because I hadn't heard anything about her leaving the show, so I knew she was going to be safe in the end. (That's a big problem with putting main characters on shows in danger. We end up knowing they really aren't in too much trouble.) I was a little worried though because in the first scene the clock actually ticked down to 1 second before we went away to the theme song.
  
• I just found the cut to the theme song so funny because the last thing you hear on D.B.'s phone is "Who am I?" and then the theme song starts with "Who are you...". I just started laughing there.
  
• Brass was mentioned . Just a little mention though. I wish there would have been more talk about it. Still to this day think it was unnecessary for him to go. Seems like Ecklie was in the episode to fill in where Brass would have normally been. I would have preferred Brass any day regardless of me liking Ecklie now.
  
• I'm not sure how I feel about Shaw. Him coming along just made me lose some respect for Finn. Making out in cars and getting all hot and heavy. Come on, you're a grown adult. Don't do that in a car. I just don't find that cute at all. I for some reason feel he is connected to the case and I don't know. I kept thinking he may be involved in some way. I'm probably wrong like always but I just don't know if I like him yet. Since this is going to be a season long thing, I'm looking forward to seeing what he has to bring to the table.
  
• Now one of the important parts of the episode: Nick. He was looking mighty fine in this episode. I was just in awe whenever he was on the screen. He has aged very well. And he has a new toy to play with. He looked so happy and excited when he was working on it.
  
• What was going on with Greg's hair in this episode??? I didn't like the way it looked.
  
• Happy to see Sara in the episode, though she didn't really do much besides process the car. Hopefully she has more to do in future episodes. I understand this episode was about introducing the Gig Harbor Killer, which has to do with D.B. and Finn, but the show needs to remember there are other important characters as well.
  
• Once Sara sprayed the car and they mentioned that it didn't look like blood splatter but that it was planted, I thought right away that it could have a constellation. Didn't know which one though until Greg pointed it out. How Nick found the constellation in the green strings is beyond me. I think that was a little stretch there.
  
• Mark-Paul Gosselaar did a very good job in his portrayal of Briscoe, and I am looking forward to seeing him again since we know that story isn't over.

I really enjoyed the episode. If they keep it up then it'll be a solid season.

I haven't got much time so I'll be brief

-I hated Finn making out in the car like a teenager. For the rest of the episode loved her.
-Wish we could've got more Sara, but I guess since now they are doubling up more with the episodes this means we'll be getting a lot of her in another ep so I am ok with it. (thought it was weird to see her deal with blood. usually finn's job)
-Nick is looking amazing
-Really interested in this serial killer thing
-Needed more Brass mentions.

Guess since they wanted Finn to be the focus because of her involvement in the case, Sara was delegated to something else just to be in the episode.

This episode has to be one of the best openers in a long time. Casting Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the Bay Harbor Killer was spot on. Like I said on Twitter, "Toto, we're no longer at Bayside." He was so dark and so twisted that his performance gave me goosebumps. While it's looking like his twin did this, I don't think so. I have a hunch on who it is, but I am not saying for spoiler sake.

I agree it was a great episode to start with. I don't think his twin did it either but I'm still not sure but whoever it is I'm sure it was someone that was in the episode.

Sorry i am late. 09-28-14 "The CSI effect" 15.01
First off, is there a 3rd brother?? And how did they fake the missing finger on the actor? Paul leaving the same print on the table in the diner had to be the guy?? And him talking to one of the missing girls is no coincidence.
The Gig Harbor killer, that was before we met Russell and Finley I guess. When they worked in Seattle. So he followed them to Vegas? It seems to be either Jared Briscoe(in jail) / Paul Winthrop, separated twin at birth, that hardly got interrogated. Or some how Mark Turner got a hold of Briscoe's finger? You have to see if any one is with explosive experience. Turner maybe the copy cat killer. Unless Briscoe covered for someone?

All the missing girls, and the one guy, makes me think there is something to the story behind the guy? Was he mistreated in his youth?

Fin and Detective Daniel Shaw an old bf make out in his car. Then he is ofcourse after the same guy. Well looking for one of the missing girls. Yes I don't see them bring Jared Briscoe to Vegas. Ecklie must have some pull.

Nice that they talked about Jim Brass, but I miss him already. Is nice to see all of the rest of team, except no Henry, only talked about.
