Hodiestoe, to answer some of your questions in a bit more detail:

1) When you finish high school do you go to University or college?
Either. Undergraduate (bachelor's) places are called "colleges", but if the particular college also has masters' or PhD (or medical or law) schools there, it's then called a "University".

2) Is is dorms or halls you live in?
Like Astra said, we call 'em dorms, but their names are usually something like "Founders Hall" (doesn't every place have one with that name?) or, in my case, "Clark Hall". The names are usually after someone who donated lots of money for the building.

3) Does the word dorm refer to your room or the building. If room what do you call the building?
"Dorm" is the building; "room" is your room. The building, in my experience, gets called by its name - ex. "Clark Hall" was called "Clark" by the students.

4) How does the whole frat houses thing work?
If you're a guy, you can enter a Greek organization called a fraternity. (The female ones are called 'sororities'.) Each one requires its members to pay an annual membership fee, and at some point, they're required to live in the group's house. Typically, a guy will enter a frat freshman year, live in the house sophomore year, and then move off-campus (to an apartment, for example) junior and senior year.

5) Are they as big an popular as we are lead to beleive in the UK?
It depends on the school. At mine, about 25% of the student body was "Greek" - in either a fraternity or sorority.

6) What's junior college?
Junior college is also usually a place where you can't get your Bachelor's Degree. They often offer Associate's Degrees (only 2 years of study required), but as Astra said, you have to transfer somewhere else for a Bachelor's.

7) When were Sara and Grissom together before Vegas? Was he her tutor at college or mentor at another job?
They've never actually come out and said how the two met, but according to the CSI Companion, WP and JF have said that he was her teacher in some seminar when she was a student, and they never dated or anything (until now).

Looks like an updated version of the companion is being released this fall, so hopefully we'll get definitive answers to our questions! Amazon profile

Yep. Maybe they're on the back?

A couple of questions: has any explanation been given as to why Clark County is on its third sheriff in six years? I know it's an elected position, but I think we elect ours every three or four years

Grissom's DOB is August 17, 1956 which makes him 49
Sara's DOB is September 16, 1971 which makes her 35
Catherine's DOB is March 26, 1963 which makes her 43
Warrick's DOB is October 10, 1971 which makes him also 35
Nick's DOB is August 18, 1971, again 35
Brass's DOB is January 3, 1951 which makes him the oldest at 56
We do not know Greg or Doc Robbin's age though Greg I would say is late 20s and the Doc mid 50s.

Hope that helps

Warrick's birthday is kinda off especially in the last episode where Warrick caught Tina at the casino with the "casino host" to "plan his upcoming birthday".

Yeah I know there has been lots of speculation about that everywhere. The only thing I can think is that Tina was making it up and she was having an affair.

Its funny that Sara, Nick and Warrick are all the same aga cos I always think of them as the children and Grissom and Catherine as the mummy and daddy! esp in the Rashomama case - too funny!

My thoughts exactly... Or the writers themselves forgot when their birthdays are... that wouldn't surprise me either...
