CSI Q&A Thread: Got a question... maybe we can answer it!

If you have a question about any three of the shows, please feel free to ask and we will try our darndest to help you!

Here are some frequently asked questions:

1. What is that song played in today's episode?
Good question, but if we honestly don't know.. we do someone who does! Elyse over at her CSI website lists all the songs that are in the episodes so head over here and take a look!

2. Is Jorja Fox pregnant? She sure looks it!
No and we don't get into their personal lives. If she is then she's been pregnant since the second season!

Yeah, short FAQ huh? Well, those are the two top questions asked. Again, feel free to ask and we'll try to help!

Who, exactly, is Jacqui? I see fics all the time that mention Jacqui, the fingerprint tech, but the only one I can ever remember being on the show (and she was there in S1, too) is Mandy.

Is the magazine "Applied Psychodynamics in Forensic Science" (From "Unfriendly Skies") an actual magazine?

I tried searching on my univeristy's library network (we have a really good forensics program here) and they can't find it. I think Grissom was making it up spur-of-the-moment.

Thanks, MGE!

It was probably something that was coined just for the show, then.

Do the conventions they feature on the show really take place? Like the furry convention, or the hogs & heifers convention, the midget conventions ...

I found this link about a Little People convention: http://www.2camels.com/festival103.php3 and I googled Furries as well...: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ies+convention

Does anyone know when they record CSI? Like how long ago did they record the end of the series? And when do they start recording the new series?

I'm not sure what the shooting schedules are for the shows or when they might be on location...

Hopefully someone will know a site that has that info...

I can't give you an exact date, but spoilers for the finale first came out at YTDAW on April 10, so presumably it wasn't too long after that.

Wrapping up a season usually ends at the end of April.

In 2004 when George was filming Evel Knievel, he said CSI shooting ended April 28th and he began shooting EK May 1st. Then that's when the firing fiasco happened. They were supposed to be back July 12th, but because of that and some technical crap, they didn't get to filming middle of July.

In 2005, they began shooting in August due to William Petersen's heart condition and some technical glitches.

I presume they are done now for the season and will pick up back in July. That is when most (99.9%) of seasons who begin airing in September start to film unless to circumstances beyond their control. Some even begin in June.

I have a question about CSI:Miami. It may sound silly but I was wondering is Emily Procter the Orbit gum girl? I know the woman sounds British in the commercial but she really looks like Emily Procter from CSI:Miami.

Hi Jacob...

I've seen the commercials you mention and no she isn't... I'd have to try and find the name, but it seems to me that I do recognize her.. I think she was a soap opera actress from the now defunct show "Port Charles"... Will have to let you know for sure on that one though

I believe I've seen Emily do a Crest toothpaste or whitestrips commercial (I think it was Crest anyway) *shrug*

---------edited to add:

Here's a link on the girl from the Orbit commercials... Her name is Vanessa Branch.

http://www.stuffmagazine.com/cover_g...rl.aspx?id=330

and

http://imdb.com/name/nm0104376/

and yeah... I'm good... I was right about the Port Charles thing.

Sara Sidle has given Gil Grissom light. She's put magic back into his life, and into hers as well. To deny it would be to deny the meaning of love itself.
