A mightly hello to you Labrats!

June 2008's monthly posting numbers are in and well, CSI has taken a hit. For the month of June our total posting numbers were 753 with an average number of posting for the month 25.10.

Granted that CSI is on hiatus and most of our posters are on summer vacation both Astra and I encourage a lot of posting, within the posting guidelines (no star posts, double posting, etc) of FanForum, when you have the opportunity to do so during the months of June, July, and August.

We are always open to suggestions for new threads, if you have any please do share your suggestions and opinions here as we look forward to reading any fun ideas you may have!

While the summer months for posting lag, we Labrats do know one thing is for certain.... once September rolls around, this board will be to die for!

Well, I had something in mind, but I don't know if it would work.

I suggest having a game like 20 questions, but us posters would try to figure out who the killer was and all that jazz. Perhaps someone could write out a scenario and we could ask questions such like, "Did the killer have a knife?"

Something along those lines.

Or perhaps a CSI fan art challenge? Or having an all CSI survivor game? (best episode, best series, best character).

Just some ideas.

I like that game idea as well

I also like the fanart challenge, altho I fear there might not be enough participants. The fanart thread itself usually only has 5 or 6 regular posters. Perhaps if there was a chance of a placing, there might be more, but I wouldnt be able to say for sure.

Would love to see a fan art challenge too, but like Dingbat said, I don't know if we'd have enough folks willing to join in...

And am also really for the survivor... I know what a pain in the butt it can be to organize, but if anyone is 'game' for it ( pun intended

); I think we should do it too!

First off, thanks to Jessie for the awesome chart I just edited into the first post of the thread... It gives us a great visual on our posting over the past several months. We can definitely see the downturn in posting with the help of this great chart.

Looks like the 20 questions game thread is getting some support! Since Tina mentioned it -- I was wondering if you are you willing to start the 20 questions thread? (will help with showing us the layout/organization of it etc)...

The fan art thing is something I'm really interesting in trying too. Are those something people really get into? Do you vote? How would one tabulate them? What kind of 'banner/award' etc... Sorry so many questions... I'm not a fan art artist and am just trying to mentally organize the logistics of such a thing

Nice chart! Its a great visual and very interesting to study.

A few years back I participated in a art challenge thing, I didn't win, and I'm actually not that great. I don't have the programs some of the other participants did, nor did I really know what I was doing. haha! I think its a good idea though. Maybe you could have 3 categories, one for each show? Just an idea.

Also, I'm excited about the 20 questions game. I am interested in how it will work.

The chart is great! It is good to see where we floundered and where we flourished.

The strike definitely made our board take a hit; we're productive once the season starts.

I am really glad that everyone likes my idea, but I don't know how to get it started.

I can start a character survivor (one series at a time) and a fan art challenge thread if you want.

Hey Tina if you don't want to start the 20 questions thread, I have an idea of how to possibly do it. I was thinking about it last night right before I fell asleep.

As for the character surivior and fan art challenge, I say go for it!
