Teenie remember we need to see CSI NY on it's own two feet not as part of a storyline for CSI Miami. I still can't believe you may be 'shipping already well since you and I always seem to 'ship couples, I may find I like those two too .

Yeah, that's what you call getting a running start on the shipping.

But I think that lihgting you might have noticed was because of the way they're trying to make all three shows look different. I mean, with the original CSI, it's all colors and night and you'r Las Vegas lights, almost lush. Miami's all about the sun beating down on whomever's in the shot, very exposed kind of palette. And with New York, they're clearly going for a more metallic, monochrone kinds palette.

Right now anyway. Did you see how sleek and white their lab was? That's what I'm talking about here.

I really liked the look and style of NY. By now the city has become so bland because so many cop shows use it but the CSI team did a great job of bringing their own take on the city.

The shots of New York were fantastic. Very cinematic. NY also gets bonus points for the music. I really loved the musical score used for the NY scenes. Also, very cinematic.

I'm looking forward to seeing the NY characters interact more. That was the only thing that this episode lacked but it was expected since it was a Miami episode and the main focus was on Horatio and Mac.

I actually got kind of a kick out of seeing Horatio slowly go from vibrant Miami colors to the muted grays and blues of NY as the episode went along.

I have a confession to make. I normally fall asleep during CSI: Miami. Every other night of the week I don't have problems staying up until 11:00, but on Mondays? Forget it.

I don't like the poses that David Caruso makes a lot. Like, the one where he tilts his head so far to the side I think it might fall off? Also- I don't like how Callie works all of her crime scenes with her looooong blonde hair flowing (that kind of hair sheds like crazy). And I REALLY can't stand how Alex talks to the corpses.

I really, really love Gary Sinise as an actor. When I read he was going to do CSI: NY I knew they were raising the bar. I absolutely loved how the whole tone and shade of the episode changed as soon as it went to NY. I loved the music (alot), I loved how even the pacing was different, and I really, really loved how they didn't give Sinise's character a really cheesy line to say like the other two.

I think the only thing that will hold me back from absolutely loving this show is Melina Kanakaredes. I just don't like her as an actor (sorry Robert L. Watson), but I hope she changes my mind as the show progresses.

So- I think I still will be watching only two CSI's next year, but it will be LV and NY for me, baby!!

Sadly, you're not alone... Guess who else fell asleep?

*sigh*

Well, I'll watch for the rerun and for CSI NY itself when it airs in the fall...

From the response of you guys, though, I think I'll like it!

lol! I didn't fall asleep last night! I think it was because I love Gary Sinise and all the other aspects I mentioned above. Any other CSI: Miami episode I would've been out like a light about 20 minutes into it.

I don't fall asleep during CSI: Miami but when I had my computer in the living room I was too distracted to fully understand what was going on (that never happens during other shows). I still gotta say the sunglasses are really annoying . I'm also surprised that Callieh's hair isn't always pulled back. Last night I was commenting on the stark whiteness of the lab to Tina , I'm used to the dullish colours of the other labs so it threw me off...also, I was nearly blinded by the lab.

When it comes to falling asleep, I'm the only one I know who does the opposite. I stay up all through Miami but I tend to doze off during LV. Which ticks me off because then I miss ER. Which is why I stopped watching the LV crew regularly but I try to catch up with Spike's reruns.

That caught me off gaurd too. It was so white! But it's also kind of a nice change of pace because I'm always wondering how the other CSIs can do any work without turning on a decent light.

Can anyone give us a quick rundown of what I missed?

Well, I usually watch three or four things at the same time, but I made an effort to minise this for my man Sinise. I taped another show and I mostly ignored the other one. And NBC helped a great deal by airing a rerun of Crossing Jordan, which should annoy me to no end, but I was happy for it this time.

And ditto on the labs. I always wondered about the labs in Miami. It seems as though they should turn the light up in there. But, is it just me, or is the morgue in New York kinda dark as well? Maybe they were going for the cave feeling, but I was wondering how they could see anything in there.

Ewww Sunny that was just wrong. . Now that I think about it the whiteness isn't as annoying as the dullness of the other labs but still blinding.

Oh there is nothing gross there. Just a little, very mild, case of TV-specific ADD. I get it from my dad. He used to watch his sporting events on different televisions in the same room.

I think the NY lab was meant to be that stark. And it was a little jarring, but I bet we'll get used to it.

I thought it was an interesting episode. CSI: New York will be great to watch in the fall.

I liked how they crossed over from Miami to New York.

Oh, Sunny I wasn't commenting on your tv ADD, I was commenting on your "minise for Sinise" line. It was really bad . I can't wait until the CSI NY comes out, I really liked the characters and I want to see them more.

Yeah, well that was meant to be "minimize for Sinise", wasn't it?

And I also can't wait to see the show next year. Gary Sinise is a solid lead and that other guy with the fingerprints was just droolsome. And I'm ever so glad that their coroner seems to stick to the morgue... Which, actually, I guess is inevitable when you're expecting that many corpses!

Sorry, I'm just never getting over the size of that cave.
