Well... got my flu shot today....

The witch jammed that sucker hard into my arm too... I've had them before where I could barely feel them.... don't know what was up w/ the nurse...

Anyhoo... I normally don't get one... but for some reason felt that I needed to this year....

I'm supposed to get one this year but they're reserving it for the elderly which sucks because they're making me get an H1N1 shot and I don't want an H1N1 flu shot... I want the regular old flu shot... plus I need the regular old flu shot because I'm asthmatic!

I would think that'd put you in the risk group and thus they'd give it to you...

I am still considering having my son get the h1n1 shot... but I need to research it more.

H1N1 is the flu... plain and simple. It's just another strain of the flu that is evolving. The media is freaking everyone out as if it were the plague.

I do need to be careful with colds though... a lot of people I know are coming down with colds. I've been pumping myself with Vitamin C!

Yeah... the media is a little hyper about it... Primarily because it's hitting younger populations rather than older ones... (kids, pregnant women etc...)

It does make me nervous for my son....

I've got the flu... work wants me to go see my doctor to make sure it's not H1N1. Paranoid, they are. It's just the regular flu... no pig tail

I got tested for H1N1; my doctor doesn't think I have it, but it was done out of precaution. That is NOT a fun test! They stick a cotton swab way up your nose until it goes into a sinus cavity and then they stick one in the back of your throat. Bleah!

Sounds sorta like the strep test. Evil.

Those make me gag.

So.... is it too early to ask what everyone's doing (if anything) for Halloween?

I finally got a couple of pumpkins the other day... don't know if I'll carve them or just wait and then make pumpkin pies out of them after Halloween...

Not sure. I'll be unpacking/reorganizing from moving, so we might and might not hand out candy. We didn't last year, but I think we want to again this year. We just might buy tons of candy for ourselves and watch movies.

People are so flipping rude. I was at Costco after work today and while I was shopping inside, someone parked next to me... opened their car door real wide and put a large white scrape and dent into my back driver side passenger door. I'm sure I can buff out the scrape, but boy was I pissed. He/she didn't even leave a note. Well of course not when it will cost him/her $200 the next time to renew their car insurance/driver's licence. Now because they didn't step forward I would have to foot the $200 deductable. No thanks! I'll fix it on my own.

Fact is the flu evolves, I'm concerned that even though we (generally) are willing to inject one strain into us we're unable to fight off later strains.
