CSI: "Bloodlines" SEASON FINALE! TONIGHT! (5/20) Spoilers inside

In the season finale, a rape victim is able to identify her rapist, but DNA evidence suggests that he is not the person responsible, leaving Grissom and his team to find the crucial evidence. Meanwhile, Grissom comes to the rescue of one of the CSI members who lands on the other side of the law.

::grumbles:: Why does it have to be Grissom? It's always Grissom!

Awwwe Sunny it's good Grissom can go rescue one of the CSI members from the wrong side of the law, he has to see that they're in trouble and they have to see that they can turn to Grissom.

It has to Grissom that's his job he's always covering up for his team.

Remember Warrick with his gambling and leaving that lady at the crime scene who got shot.

Greg sleeping with that hooker who later turned up dead.

Catherine blowing up the lab, using DNA for personal business. Sleeping with a suspect though I don't know if he knows about that.

I think Sara and Greg are the only ones he hasn't had to cover for.

It was Nick, not Greg who slept with the hooker. And it was Catherine who was there for him not Grissom.

Okay, so this episode ended totally different than the other drafts I have seen. I wish Nick could have gotten the promotion.

This was a very good episode. And the rare disease the doctor had, I've heard of before. It was on TLC. A woman was having some kind of problems so she had x-ray's done and she had two uterus'. They did further testing and they found out that she had a twin that died during the fetus growth stage.

When Grissom was taking those pictures and we saw that I said to my mom, "Whoa! Did you see that?" and my dad said, "What?" My mom said "radiation". Cause that's what it looks like. I really liked how they worked that into the storyline.

Poor Linley. I felt so bad for her. Especially for Catherine. She did all her best to help her and in the end she couldn't. I knew she would be found dead because the other woman Emma was found dead too. Linley got away and the killer needed to finish her off because she identified him, but she got away.

So did he kill those women because of his disease, he knew he could get away with it? My sister was on the phone and couldn't hear the discussion between the doctor and Brass.

I guess now they'll be focusing on Sara. I hope she gets help. I do like her despite her acting like a brat this season. They'll probably focus on that in the first few episodes. I hope they show her at an AA meeting. Her talking about her problems, or maybe seeing a psychiatrist. Maybe her feelings about Grissom will come out even more.

My mom didn't like the ending. She expected a cliffhanger, because it's been like that in the past seasons. I guess they wanted a change. I'm quite happy with the way it ended. Now Sara sees that Grissom really does care about her. Maybe that will change her tune. Let's hope.

Good episode. I really enjoyed it.

I have to say that this was a good finale! I happy that the ending didn't make me sick. It was nice to see that Grissom showed that he cared about Sara but I hope that show's fifth season won't over focus on Sara's drinking but I hope she gets help! Loved seeing Nick, Warrick, And Greg as always!

Okay, to the point. Sara. I read the spoilers so it wasn’t a surprise or anything. But the final cut wasn’t really what I expected. Which I guess was a good thing on the part of TPTB. First, maybe I’m just on crack or something, but does anyone else find the whole alkie Sara thing laughable? Cuz I do. I even had to go back and watch the scene again because I was laughing when the officer was explaining to Grissom what happened. Not in a ha ha funny kind of way, but in a WTF funny way.

Anyway. Supposedly Nick was supposed to figure it all out and steal Sara’s cough drop, and I like how they cut that out. Because there was no way he was gonna do that and then let her go and drive. So that was good. And so was their little scene together. I thought it was cute. Kinda Snickery.

But the whole thing itself was so downplayed. I couldn’t believe they fit it all in in under two minutes. I thought I read in the spoilers that they were supposed to be out celebrating Nick almost getting the promotion. But there was no way you could tell from the scene, aside from the fact that Sara congratulated Nick. In that case Sara being drunk would have made more sense. The way they did it, it just looked like they were walking around. Of course since she got pulled over it was obvious that they were drinking, but still. It seemed so out of nowhere. I almost think they ran Early Rollout right before just to remind people, “Hey, Sara’s hitting the bottle, remember?”

So I didn’t like that. Well I hated the whole alkie storyline to begin with. But I did love how Jorja played it. When she was taking the Breathalyzer test, her smug expression was priceless. And when she was sitting at the station. She looked more pissed than anything else, not really ashamed or embarrassed. So that was cool. And I’m not gonna say anything about the GSR undertones. Let’s just leave it at that.

Oh, and on a side note, that was so not the car I pictured Sara would drive. Kind of dinky. She seems more like an old school Mustang or Jeep kind of person to me. And what’s with everyone driving silver cars? Doesn’t Greg drive a silver Jetta?

Hmm. What else. Not enough Warrick. Not enough Nicky. And I’m glad he’s shooting Evel Kneivel now cuz his shaggy hair isn’t very flattering.

I did really like the actual plot. Probably the best of the season. Which I guess was a good thing since it was the season finale. Although that isn’t saying much, since I thought the season as a whole was pretty mediocre.

Whew, that was a nice bit of ranting/rambling. I had to get that off my chest. Now I can get back to my cramming - I mean studying - for my two exams in 10 hours.

Wow great rant. I like the alkie Sara storyline because let's face it working in forensics is probably one of the most depressing jobs. Everyone has something outside of the lab, Grissom has his roller coasters, Catherine has her daughter. I'm not sure about Nick or Greg, and Warrick dealt with the depression through gambling. Sara has nothing, her whole life revolved around being a CSI (remember her favorite pastime? listening to a police scanner), and because she didn't have an emotional outlet she turned to alcohol. Good luck on your test snicker. Teenie I agree with you...Weeeeeeeee!!!!

Count me in on some of that crack then. Cause I do. My main beef is how Sara has been treated all season. When she first came on the show she was a highly regarded forensics expert from San Francisco who was coming on board as a favor to Grissom. Yeah, she was a nerd but not the kind of isolated anti-social "I need a Lady Heather to loosen me up" kind of nerd like Grissom is. She's the kind of woman who'll go out with the gang after work and have a good time and actually have a life outside of work. This season they've just made her moopy, moping and, oh yeah, an alcoholic. Poor Jorja to have to put up with this. Earlier seasons Sara was stronger than that, the least thet could have done was given her as many as episodes as they've given Cat for character development. Instead of we've gotten is a little bit here and there and now the season finale.

As for the rest of the ep: I really liked the human chimera storyline though I still don't think I'll ever be able to see George "Father of the Bride" Newbern as a serial rapist/murderer (didn't he say that the 2 women they knew about weren't the only ones?). I liked the fact that the whole team seemed to be given something to do for once and it wasn't a Catherine/Gris centered story.

Oh it was a great episode. And I loved that the evidence was wrong. That was great. Because it is indeed possible, as we all saw, for the facts to point in the wrong direction.

I'm sad for Catherine. Yeah, it sucks to be her right now, but giving her cell phone was really the best she could do? How about putting the girl under protective custody? They've never had such a good witness and then they went and crapped out on her. And I understand the limitations of the job, but screw that. That woman was alive when they got to her and now she's dead because they didn't use their imagination in order to protect her. Too bad for Catherine. She's sad. She'll get over it. She'll move on. She's alive to do so.

And I agree with Snickers, the scene of Nick-Sara-Warrick celebrating was way too short. This was our opportunity to see them beyond the job. Which, I guess, wouldn't be a very CSI thing to do so I guess I understand why they cut it short. But, still, would've been nice. That's all I'm saying.

As for Sara getting cut. Well, either way, I feel let down. If Grissom "catches her", then it's totally random because she's been doing it all along and he should have noticed, not waited for someone to throw a brick at his head. More realistically, though, it could be easily dismissed. She was celebrating. She was very close to the limit. This is one of those scenarios where most people would get off pretty easy. So, for all we know, they're gonna go like the deafness storyline and drag it along even further. Until someone from CSI actually collects the evidence and comes to the natural conclusions on this particular case, it's all incredibly random. Either way, I feel my girl got jipped.

And for Greg. Can't wait to see him as an official CSI and I hope we also get to meet his replacement... Oooh, can't you just picture him handing in evidence to Hodges? I see hissy fits in their future.

They have each other, of course!

Anyways. Wouldn't Sara only have had to have 2 drinks to pop at 0,9?

Yes. But no, DUI she must be alcoholic, at least.

I swear, if we have season 5 Alkie Sara, and season 6 Pod!Leo-falling-off-the-wagon, I am quitting TV.
