One of my favorite things about watching the early seasons is seeing how much great Willow and Xander moments there are.
 A friend recommended a YouTube video to me, entitled "Top 10 Buffy or Angel Episodes that remind us everything is going to be all right". It's REALLY good, and I shed a couple tears watching it. At around the 14:30 mark, the video talks about the Dark Willow arc, Willow's magic issues, and why Xander was the perfect person to save the world and bring Willow back to normal.
