Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Who wouldnt hate vamps after that? But I am amazed at how much his big and warm heart was able to overcome that hatred when there was reason to

Well Xander was refusing to accept that Spike was good and I understand why. It was because if a vampire could be good then he killed his friend and not a vampire.

I love it when Xander puts his issues with vampires aside to help Spike or Angel. He's such a great guy

One of my favorite Xander/Angel moments was in Prophecy Girl when they smiled at each other because Buffy was brought back to life.

As for Xander/Spike, nothing tops the lighter scene.

He was not good at the time i was talking about. I wasnt refering to S 7, (although Spander had some nice moments then too

I was thinking about S 4, when Xander helped save Spike so many times, by hauling him out of the debris of the old high school before he collapsed. Or by shielding him from the solders, and providing or him when he was desperately in trouble in Pangs-Doomed.

And as comes to "refusing to accept", Spike's progress towards "goodness" (for lack of better word) was such a slow and gradual one, with so many set backs, that it is not so much something to accept as to discover/realize was happening.

I think that might be a partial, but not the most important reason. He had every reason to be suspicious. Like I mentioned earlier, Spike had almost got him killed about a year earlier. And cost him his relationship with Cordy. So he had every reason to hate him. Including the one that his assumption about soulless vampires are quite correct. They are evil. So even when Spike tried not to be, he kept screwing up, and ending up doing bad things anyway, out of simply not understanding how to be good, in all it's details.

So in short, I am impressed with Xander, how he took in, helped and cared for s well known enemy in the way he did

Speaks volumes of what a wonderful guy he is.

Well even when Spike got his soul Xander was still being a jerk for no reason. Or at least I felt it was for no reason.

I really can't name scenes because it has been years since I have seen season seven but I do remember me and my friend talking about it.

Well, just like the others, I would have liked Xander to make a bigger deal out of Spike getting a soul, but other than that, I would say he was behaving well. He took him in, and helped him get over his craziness, and he had faith in him when all the others didnt, when they thought Spike was killing again, But Xander figured out how the First was controlling him.

I think the events of Seeing Red also caused a lot of Xander's behaviour

Someone should have taken the time to xplain that to him, as Buffy was at least faintly trying to do to Dawn.

I also think the foregoing events of Entropy sort of stuck with him. We see him really swallow hard when Andrew brings that up in NLM.

That's why I think there was a reason for Xander's attitude towards Spike and that it had less to do with the fact that he was a vamp and more to do with the whole Spike/Buffy and Spike/Anya situation.

That is true too. I could see that. I really need to watch it again so I can point out some things. I agree Anya/Spike probably did something too because I know Xander was upset about not getting Buffy too.

Xander had his reasons for disliking Spike that would resonably not instantly go away after he got a soul. And once again, I am impressed by how little of it he actually takes out. He grumbles a little bit, but then he is the flying buttress of support, once again
