| I don't see Xander as being a coward...I have thought long and hard about this. I mean we are all so hard on Xander everyone is. I mean a lot of people really hate his character and in some ways he is probably stronger than any other character on the entire show? Do you think I've gone crazy? Maybe but... He has had the hardest, least structured homelife out of any of the scoobies. His parents while still together are clearly alcoholics, his father is abusive. We also saw him hit his mom in Hell's Bells but has he hit Xander? Probably. One thing I know is even if you don't intend to sometimes you end up acting like your parents. Will this happen to Xander I hope not..but I respect him for loving Anya enough to never want to hurt her like that. The truth of it is though if they had gotten married I wouldn't have gotten one of my favorite episodes that focused on the beautiful anyanka "Selfless" And I think Joss was right...all great couples do have to end..I mean if you are always happy there is no story. LOL Of course, Spike didn't need to die but still you get the picture... I still maintain that Willow has found Oz again..she said apart of her would always be waiting for him. | Yeh I think he was afraid he might turn out like his father and Hit Anya, he was ready to marry her all though he was still worried about it but then he saw his fake future and that did the trick, he couldent go through with it. A lot of people really hate Xander?  I've always thought that he was one of the shows most popular characters. | Well in "Restless" Giles makes a comment like "I told Buffy she should have killed you." It really made no point at the time because Giles hadn't done that yet. Actually, at that point Giles had been the one person who had advocated for Spike's redemption (post "A new Man"). It changed later..but the line in Restless was clear foreshadow. Then in Fool for Love Drusilla (always the queen of the foreshadows) makes a comment like "You'll be the brightest knight in all the land" And then she said something like..."You smell like ashes" You are lead to believe it's about the cigs..but Dru caring about Spike's smoking ummm no...LOL she was with him for over a century. So the ashes of crumbleling to dust to save the world. Anya's was told by D'hoffryn. "All good things come in time" LOL I know Xander is disliked by many Spike fans. Actually in general most people but Spike are disliked by many Spike fans I actually think if you hate that many characters on a show you must of really hated watching it 90% of the time LOL. __________________ "We're going to destroy the world! | I love both Spike and Xander, Xanders my favourite character after Spike and Buffy, Theres only about 1 charecter that I've hated on the show and 2 or 3 others that have annoyed me, But I like most of the characters on the show I agree, if you hate that many Characters then you probably dont like the show that much either.
