If there is one story arc I could choose to retcon from BTVS, it would be the whole stupid Willow/Xander thing in S3. Destroyed what was an otherwise great season

Xander was enamored with Cordelia. Nobody can tell me otherwise. He was heartbroken when she broke up with him on Valentine's Day.

It made a mockery of their feelings for Oz and Cordelia. So much investment was put into these two relationships so the WX affair felt like a cop-out. A trashy way to do fast break-up stories.

I prefer to remember Xander/Cordy back when they first started and they were so passionate that they could barely keep away from each other
