Oh I don't know. I guess Willow wouldn't have gone dark and tried to end the world. The Trio might have succeeded in their plans and killed Buffy.

This may sound bad but i'm happy with everything at the end, i love Tara and WT but I think Tara's death was needed for the story joss was trying to tell

I think so too. I mean I love WT but I'm not sure Joss would have given them a happy ending anyway. What if she died in S7 during Chosen?

And at least with her dying in S6 we know how horribly Willow took her death whereas if she had died in Chosen we wouldn't have gotten to see her grieve or her pain except for a tiny bit at the end.

Exactly, The whole thing would've been rushed and at least S6, we got to see how much pain Will was in and how she went through it and I think it was needed to let us see that and grieve too

We didn't get to see Xander grieve for Anya.

I'm not sure how much he would have anyway. He seemed to make light of her death. I know that's sort of how he was but still.

I see Joss wanted Willow to move on but how is knowing someone for just a few episodes moving on, if they had to move Will on, why not with Oz, someone she loved and knew how much Tara meant to her
