I think he didn't mind it, considering he still spent quite a bit of time with her when he didn't have to. Like going with her to the magic box & letting her hang out in his crypt.

Well he did truly care for her.:) He really saw her as like his little sister to me... or that's how it came across to me.

Yes! and I re-watched 6x01 and it makes me upset we couldn't see more of Spike/Dawn scenes after those first 2 episodes of the season.:shrug: It seemed like Spike was the main one looking after her when Buffy died and Buffy returns and then NOTHING?? Okay.... :confused: :shrug:

Things did go downhill for them in s6 after starting so good. When Buffy/Spike started, they wanted Spike to be pulling Buffy away from the scoobies, so I guess that's why they forgot the Spike/Dawn friendship :(

It just really didn't make much sense to me.:shrug: That's what you just call bad writing, you have to learn how to balance things out. Especially episodes 6x03.- 6x07 when he didn't do much of anything.

I agree, especially as their friendship was a huge part of the first two episodes & then it was just... gone :look:
