It looks like we have some funny stuff with the 3 coming up.

I love the gifset.

Did anyone watch vid I posted?

So lets pay homage to the original. Oh I would love if someone made a fan art comparing Pike and Spike and Buffy (92) and Buffy

The TV show however ten times better and blew the movie out of the water!

I am having a blast catching up on the seasons I missed out on.

Season 5 is wonderful! Spike is so funny pinning after Buffy and not knowing hot to deal with it. Its so funny. The Buffy doll classic

I saw season 5 here and there but never all the way through so good.

Spuffy forever!
The sad thing about the movie is that puts people off of watching the show.

The majority think of it as just a silly movie & expect it will be too.

Then again the name Buffy The Vampire Slayer in general I know does that as well.

I mostly ever watched b/c at the time I liked Cander.
I started to dislike Xander for many reasons though.
It's strange how likeable he has become in the Comics.

Plus it was a show on the WB & I pretty much gave any drama on there a chance.

I don't totally hate the movie but I think that's mostly b/c of my huge crush on Luke Perry.

I think even if Joss did think of Pike from the movie when he created Spike.
He would never admit it since he doesn't want it to touch the show in any way.

Season 5 is my fave season in general & not just b/c of Spuffy.

I liked Cander, too. I guess, it's the love/hate thing again.

I love the vid, but I must confess I saw it before you posted it along with this one.

The blooper from Gone.

I watched the Dailies from As You Were last night, at least the first part. It's hilarious how they laugh every time that they kiss and go behind the tree.

Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that they have sex in the front yard where anyone can stroll on by and see them? And Buffy was afraid of being caught. Then again, I guess, the same thing can be said about the balcony scene.

The part about the sex in the yard incident that makes me snort laughing is Dawn's remark about the burger being squashed

Ok I am dating myself here but I was 10 in 92 when Buffy The Vampire Salyer the movie came out. I remember seeing the commericals for it and thinking it looked interesting but cheesy.

However I was way to young to go and watch it.

Then I remember I was 14 seeing commericals for the TV show Buffy and I was like they are making a TV show on the movie?

I am a sucker for horror well the good horror the cheesy horror and the good horror movies from the 80s.

So I finally watched the movie. There was one part where I saw how it could of turned to be very dark like the TV show and after reading how Joss was so upset over how the movie I could see elements of what he hoped the TV show would be.

I saw a few episodes here and there. I too heard all about Angel from my friends who were in love with Angel and the first episode I saw of Buffy was the end of season 2.

So I too for a short time was on the Angel wagon. Then it all changed. I liked Spikes character from the start.

I saw season 3 and 4 here and there but high school got in the way.

Then I did not see it again until season 5. Again busy with college.

Season 6 and 7 my college housemates were into Buffy so I would watch it here and there.

However I didn't become a Spike fan until I saw the end of season 7 and Spike gives Buffy the speech from End Of Days.

Spike: Last night was... God, I'm such a jerk. I can't do this.

Buffy: Spike?

Spike: It was the best night of my life. If you poke fun at me, you bloody well better use that 'cause I couldn't bear it. It may not mean that much to you, but...

Buffy: I just told you it did.

Spike: Yeah, I hear you say it, but... I've lived for sodding ever, Buffy. I've done everything. I've done things with you I can't spell, but I've never been close to anyone, least of all you, until last night. All I did was hold you, watch you sleep, and it was the best night of my life. So, yeah, I'm terrified.

Buffy: "You don't have to be."

I remember I was in tears.

The writing and the emotion was so deep and I feel in love with Spike and Buffy not knowing their full story all the way through.

Then after that I was like I need to learn more about the show and about Buffy and Spike.

I was 6 when the film came out and 11 when the show started, so I was a bit young to notice right away. Then BBC2 started airing S1 the year after during my first year of high school and I watched it because a friend of mine talked about it all the time. I didn't get properly hooked right away but I really liked it. And so began the obsession.

Fool For Love begain my obession. I was shocked over the writing and the acting in that epsidoe. So well done and so good.

My friend told me that is what got her hooked on Buffy after she watched Fool For Love and saw it was not a cheesy show or like the movie.

Fool For Love is absolutely stunning in every aspect, one of the best episodes in the entire series, probably in my top 5 actually.

FFL is bloody brilliant.

I just wish it didn't include the Scoobies b/c they felt out of place to me in the episode.

I know a lot of people were annoyed about Spike not being able to think of ways he’s not like Angel, b/c yeah, beyond these surface similarities, they are fundamentally different. But I don’t think this supposed to imply that they’re the same but rather it’s yet another indication of Spike’s extreme insecurity right now. Most of the ways he differs from Angel are positive ones; he’s not as controlling, he can and does change himself, he apologises for his mistakes, he’s a better match for Buffy physically - don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s perfect & wonderful & Angel is the devil, that’s not true either. I do think though, that he is too insecure right now to talk about his own good points & while I’m sure he’s capable of thinking of his flaws, well, he’s not about to list those to the woman who he’s afraid is about to break up with him any second. So yeah, instead we get awkward bravado Spike, running his mouth as usual to hide how scared he is. I really don’t blame Buffy for losing patience with him but this is a topic that really, REALLY needs discussion. I’m hoping that the culmination of the crossover will include some kind of discussion between them about it, b/c they have to talk about it sometime.

I hate how Spike feels So inferior to Angel.

Buffy hasn't even given him any reason to be insecure either.

I know I laughed at the top but it's really b/c of Buffy's reaction not the situation.

Never Be Canon!

I think by now Spike should be more sure of things between him & Buffy.
I can see him being insecure but not as much as in the comics.

I actually can understand Spike insecurities... it's just how their relationship was. Buffy used Spike through most of the relationship and even when he won he heart over during Season 7, he sees Angel and Buffy kissing which probably brought the insecurities back.

I just think he feels if Angel ever came back in the picture, she'd always choose him. Although we have seen in Chosen she chose Spike... but it's not like she was choosing Spike in a "I'll be with him over you" way... Buffy and Angel weren't together and both of their lives were at different stages.

In terms of the comics, I have only been reading the Angel and Faith comics so I don't know much about how Buffy and Angel relationship went or really why they broke up again. I do know that they dated again though so that just probably adds to Spike being insecure... it does feel like any time Buffy sees Angel, her world stops and she wants him because of the history and all the time they say that him being the vampire is the only reason they aren't together. So I sort of relate to Spike, although at this point of Spike & Buffy relationship should be at a more stabled place... I guess the comics needs drama. lol I'll probably start reading the BTVS comics. lol

Also let's remember how Spike was when he didn't have a soul? he was so insecure when Dru left him for a chaos demon... and with his love for Buffy in Season 5-6 so now his insecurities now is probably 10000000xxx more with a soul.
Angel had to experience about 100 years with a soul, Spike is still adjusting. lol

I agree, I don't know much about Angel and Buffy's history in the comics. But her relationship with Spike is still new and here comes Angel. Buffy hasn't verbally made her feelings clear to Spike yet. I can understand why Spike is insecure.

You both make good points.

Bangel didn't date.

Angel was possessed with this evil thing called Twilight that wanted Bangel to give birth to a new world by having flying space sex!

I still don't get it.

That's how Angel ended up killing Giles when he was possessed by Twilight.

Somehow he was brought back a teenager.

I could add more but don't feel good right now.

I love Twilight but even I can make fun of it. A sparkel vamp really?

I love the Buffy Vamps better because they are more cannon, dark, and traditional. Plus who dosen't love Spike!

It was Crazy Twilight took over Buffy too.

Spike showed up and saved the day pretty much with the answer to stop it.

Anyway Joss actually apologized b/c how terrible Season 8 was.

Everybody hated it even critics.

I'm glad Spike didn't show up til near the end of that disaster.

I'm surprised Joss did try to find a way to erase it like say it was all a dream like the orig. Dallas did one season.

Then he would have had to do the same with Angel & Faith Comics though.
