We could have, but I think that the writers know that if they keep him around too long, it would just get unrealistic for him not to kill off all the main characters

The fact David could play him so vastly different than he would Angel is a testament to him as an actor, honestly

Yeah, it was really his best acting on the Buffy series, when he was Angelus.
