^ That's why Buffy response to that was point on! Of course they were trying to compare it to Buffy/Angel romance at that time but I loved Buffy response and when I watched it, I was agreeing with her like... heck no he doesn't need forgiveness after shooting his lover like that...

Yeah, I get that Buffy needed to forgive herself - but forgiving a murderer? No. He couldn't handle that she broke up with him, so he killed her, that's not a guy I have any sympathy for - no matter how much he supposedly 'needs' it
