I didn't see a Buffy/Joyce thread so I thought I'd post about them here.
 I watched "School Hard" last night and I really liked their interactions in that episode. Joyce put her faith in Buffy during a crisis so quickly and easily. And she defended Buffy to Snyder and came back into the school for her. And it was sweet what she said to Buffy: "I have a daughter who can take care of herself. Who's brave and resourceful and thinks of others in a crisis. No matter who you hang out with or what dumb teenage stuff you think you need to do, I'm gonna sleep better knowing all that."  __________________

I loved Joyce!
After all these years, I'm still traumatized by her death on Buffy. (I can't watch that episode.) I'm so glad that Kristine Sutherland made it to the 20th Anniversary Buffy Reunion. It was great to see her again! She looked awesome! |

Because I recall the death feeling so unexpected, I had completely forgotten that Joyce had a brain tumor!!
 I love that the Scooby gang took over some of Buffy’s slaying responsibilities while she dealt with her mother’s illness. I haven’t reached that episode where Joyce passes away yet.  __________________
