Don't remember ever seeing a thread on Joyce so I decided to create one. She was the only parent on the show so she was kind of everyone's. Loved that one scene when she was giving Spike advice on his relationship with Drusilla.

Kristine Sutherland portrayed Joyce wonderfully and I hated when they killed her off.

Loved Joyce and Giles that was fun. Loved how it freaked Buffy out.

I understood her shock and anger with Buff at the Season 2 Finale but in fairness, there were clues that she chosed to ignore.

Should Buffy have trusted her and told her the truth in the beginning?

Anyway, loved the character. She was terrific and Ms Sutherland portrayed her very well.

Kristine did a great job as portraying Joyce I was not a big fan of Joyce honestly, but she did the best she could at times and even though she made mistakes and Buffy loved her very much.

I think Joyce was an incredible character. Even though I don't agree with some of her actions, I have to say she was a big part of the show. She was the only mom figure we had, a long with Giles being the only dad one.

I think Kristine and Sarah had a wonderful chemistry, I never doubted for a second they were really mother and daughter.

I still can't forgive Joyce for telling Angel he didn't belong with Buffy and also when she said Buffy shouldn't come back if she left the house. I know, she made mistakes, she's a human being but that's something that really bugs me. I know Angel would leave anyway, but I wish it wasn't Joyce who would set it off the whole thing.

We can't forget the episode she died is one of the most amazing pieces of television ever created, and it was only possible because of her character and how much she meant not only for Buffy and Dawn, but for the entire gang. I still cry everytime I watch. Sarah's acting is flawless, the writing, everything is outstanding.

That and the fact that she was so completely in the dark about the things that were going on around her. I sometimes questioned her IQ!

I love the scene in School Hard when she knocks Spike out.

I think that's the reason I love Joyce the most. She had courage to tell Angel that he had to think about his and Buffy's future. She's a mom, she's gonna do that to whatever boyfriend Buffy had. It's her business because Buffy's her daughter. I'm glad she had her little talk with Angel. She wanted more for her daughter. Nothing wrong with that.

As for telling Buffy that if she left that she couldn't come back. Well, she was mad. Come on what mom wouldn't be mad after being told that her daughter fights vampires and demons. She didn't have time to process everything and Buffy just took it too literally.

I think she always knew something was different about Buffy but she didn't want to accept it. She was probably in denial and sometimes parents don't know anything about their kids and what they do. It's not that uncommon.

Loved Joyce's moments with Spike. From the ax hitting in School Hard to their tiny convo in Becoming Pt 2, and when he is crying to her about Dru in Lover's Walk over hot chocolate.

I loved her scenes with Buffy, when it was just them being there for each other. Like at the end of Innocence with the birthday cupcake.

Yup! I still ship them together as I wasn't really into the Jenny/Giles relationship and found Joyce to have better chemistry with Giles.

No, I never felt that Jenny and Giles were going to last. Plus I had this image of Giles being Buffy's father for so long that it made sense to me for him and Joyce to hook up.

I always saw him as a father figure, but I never really thought he needed to be with Joyce for that to happen. I wonder how Buffy would have reacted if they had dated.
