But it worked with the spinoff, because it played into the whole TPTB wanting him as a champion, hence the magical snow.

I dislike that whole concept, with them

Having someone powerful enough to even control the weather, sort of undermines everything. If they have that kind of power over everything as they seem to, what do they need anyone else for?

I didnt feel they fit in the buffyverse. At. All. That is a world that doesnt seem very much divinely controlled. Where **** happens, and the world is fragile, and frequently threathened by apocalypses. Almighty beings lurking in the shadows has no place in that mythology.

I don't know, it fits into to the idea of a slayer, someone called to fit the darkness, to equal it out....but Fate? I don't think that works in the Buffyverse.
