They did, plus there was always comedy when they were together
 Plus, there was actually a lot of rich content there - Willow was the most suspicious of Anya early on because of the whole thing in Doppelgangland, & I think she was also kind of resentful of her relationship with Xander. Anya was the same, she knew how close Xander & Willow were & felt threatened by that, but with time, they got a lot closer & all those issues really weren't there anymore & they became true friends __________________
