Yes, and then of course, other characters just had to twist the knife in Giles heart. First it was Joyce at the hospital, trying to comfort him. Then Willow during the Sadie Hawkins fiasco and the "He misses her" when talking with Xander and Buffy, which was so far off the mark, he never recovered from the wound Angelus gave him by killing Jenny. Finally, Drusilla, the cruelest trick of all. I am so glad for fanfiction. Fixing broken things.

I don't think it was something that was done due to any bts issues, I think that Joss probably knew he was gonna kill Jenny off for a while, he loved that kind of stuff....
But I agree that Giles never fully recovered, we didn't see him fall for anyone after her  __________________
