It really shows in a lot of little things. I just watched "School Hard" and I liked how Giles tried to get out of the barricaded library to help Buffy. "Listen! I am the Watcher! I am responsible for her, and I have, I have to go!" It didn't matter that he would likely die, he just couldn't sit there and do nothing, for her to die on his watch. And I liked that he ended up staying because Buffy needed him to be around to take care of her mother, just in case something happened to her.

ICA, & it's so funny that he says he's her watcher & that's why he has to save her - because that was practically the opposite of what his job was supposed to be, he was always more of a father to her
& I love that she trusted him to take care of Joyce too __________________

He was a much better father to Buffy than Hank.

^ For sure. They had such a special bond and relationship.
Watched "Reptile Boy" last night. I like that Buffy apologized for lying to him and that Giles realized he was pushing her too hard. It's always nice to see them meet in the middle. __________________

^ I think they compromised a lot.
Watched Halloween last night and it was funny how Buffy was babbling on about Ms. Calender in an attempt to distract him and all he gleaned from the conversation was that Jenny thought he was a babe. Another instance though where her sneakiness got her into trouble later on. __________________

I also loved Buffy coaching him on how to ask her out in "Some Assembly Required".

^ For sure, she wanted him to be happy.
Their scene at the end of "Lie to Me" is a great one. When he tells her how complicated life is then she asks him if it gets easier and he asks her what she wants him to say. Then she says, "Lie to me" just to call him a liar after he tells her what she wanted to hear. __________________

I'm really glad that she had that moment with Giles, he was her guide & she put a lot of trust in him....I bet he would have loved to make her believe everything was going to be alright though

^ For sure.
I watched "Dark Ages" last night and as sad as that episode was for Giles, it was nice to see Buffy comfort him at the end of the episode. I think it changed her view of him a bit, but not in a bad way. I think she realized that he was kind of like she was, someone who didn't have a choice in what he was destined to do. __________________

It definitely changed the way she saw him, I think she even says in the ep something like 'turns out you're a real person' and he says something like 'most adults are', it made her understand him a lot better
