They are, but overall, I always enjoyed the show even though I had my issues with it & felt like it went downhill

I only watched S1 of Angel back then since it had more crossovers and felt more connected to BTVS. After that I fell off with it and stuck with Buffy till the end. When they used to air repeats on TNT I watched the episodes where Faith came back to help get Angel his soul back before going to Sunnydale for the final fight in S7.

In Season 3 and 4 the show turned into a very dark Bold and the Beautiful.

Seasons 3, 4, and 5 were really just...so different than Seasons 1 and 2, especially in the case of 4 and 5. I know behind the scenes stuff likely influenced a great deal of the final product, from Buffy moving networks which barred on-screen crossovers, to the whole deal with Charisma and Joss. You could tell those things affected the show highly

The Jasmine storyline was intriguing, but I didn't like the way they made it like a very dark soap opera. I think the show deserved better than pointless love triangles for example: Angel/Cordy/Connor/Jasmine, Groosalugg/Cordy/Angel, Fred/Wesley/Lilah, and Wesley/Fred/Gunn. Also having a ship go against the show copy off of a relationship that ended with the two people still being in love. Cordy ends the second season having the hots for the Groosalugg to start "feelings" for a man who was grieving hardcore over the love of his life who sacrificed herself to save the world and her sister. Does she give that woman credit? Angel grieves hardcore over the love of his life than "moves on" with a woman who gave his relationship an attitude in Seasons 1, 2, 3, and on the 1st season of his show. In Season 4 having a love triangle between a father, mother/daughter/granddaughter, and son is . It didn't help in Season 3 when Angel's sire came back in town pregnant and Cordy acts all "hurt" over it even though she found out in the previous season.

I don't have a problem with the fact that you don't like the season, or even you just saying it, but I think you criticized Angel/Cordelia too much. This is a neutral thread when it comes to ships, so I doubt any cangel shippers would want to come in here & see stuff like that being written about them & it could easily start arguments. I don't think anyone wants that kind of thing to happen. Just trying to keep it positive in here.
