I read it and responded on Spike App.

She asked him to stay and hold her.

Buffy looks the most vulnerable in that moment.

She finally gets it. Everybody has all these expectations.

Spike just loves her flaws and all and believes in her more than anyone else ever has.

He doesn't expect or even feels he deserves her love after everything.

Spike's love for Buffy has become completely selfless.

Great choice!! Spuffy was the highlight of Season 7... in general, Season 7 is my least favorite season.

BUT Spuffy were written so perfect, and I loved that.

That entire scene is up there with the most beautiful in the entire show for me, a culmination of everything their relationship had gone through from that very first encounter in S2. As Jaime said, his love for her had become utterly selfless, and no one in the world will ever convince me she didn't love him back in that moment.

Spuffy were slowly falling in love through the years. That's what makes them more real to me than any other couple on the show. Well there are other reasons like how they never were planned. The only intentional buildup started Season 5 but it seems like it was there from the start.
