One of my all time favourite episodes for sure
 It always makes me a bit sad that their faux-engagement didn't come up more often in later seasons. It would have made for some hilarious jokes, for sure  I'm sure Spike thought back on it often though, once he figured out his feelings for her  __________________

It would have made sense to reference back to it at times, BtVS is otherwise amazing at referencing back to little things that happened seasons ago, so I don't know why they never really used it

I just remembered something! Back when I used to post on here I got a book about "The Gift" that was written by Joss and had alternate scenes in it and things, but also so on the set pictures in the back. I didn't have a scanner then but I do now! I'll post it in a second haha.
