Oh Angel. How I've missed you. It's great seeing that their connection is still there

There's not a lot more to this episode IMO. Angel shows up and watches. Willow tries to defend the vengeance spirit but as soon as her life is in danger she joins with the fight. Giles and Spike are very English here. And Xander has syphillis.

Best part of the episode: I love that everyone kept thinking that Angel was evil. They hurt his feelings

"help me!" Buffy kicks him nearly into the sun. "what part of "help me do you not understand?"

ANd he looks so ... hungry in that ep

I love this episode... Willow was being so protective over the tribe and Native Americans and then she was right there fighting them.

And everyone thinking Angel was evil... hilarious.

Well maybe if you didn't stalk people wouldn't think that.

Anya being obsessed with Xander digging.

I don't think the stalking was the problem. It was probably the fact that he was back

And he did go to them when they were undefend. I would have thought he was evil too

Meh... I still think he should have just showed himself to Buffy.

I like that Giles told him that Buffy would have found it unfair that he could see her but she couldn't see him. I don't get why he couldn't. It's almost as if he's a glutton for punishment.

But I would have freaked out if I was them if he popped out of nowhere.

I get it and I don't. Seeing Buffy was hard for him but her seeing him would be harder because even though she let him go, she did so reluctantly. Up to that point Buffy would have done whatever it took to make it work because she only saw "now" rather than the future. And he knew that. So he had to think for both of them.

But yeah, I thought it was cute but stupid because I'm a BA fan more than anything and I'd rather they be in a scene talking to each other (even if they're arguing) than to not have them connect in that manner.

It really boils down to what I'm more a fan of: Buffy and Angel the couple or Buffy and Angel the people. I have to watch this episode as a bigger fan of them as individual characters. Interestingly enough, that's how I watch a lot of S3 too

I just never got it. I hear his reasoning but I just can't agree. I mean did he think that when she found out he had been there and not talked to her she would be happy about that?

Well even if they didn't have scenes together she could at least sense him which was a testament to their connection you know?

Because of how much drama and angst they had in S3? So if they're happy you think of them as a couple but if they're having issues then it's about them as characters?

That's something he rarely works into his plans.

I agree but I do want them to interact as well

No because they had to break up and no one wants to see their couple break up

Most fans play the blame game but when you look at it from each of their perspectives, it's a lot easier to accept.

Oh I wanted them to as well when I watched the episode for the first time.

True... I guess in order to deal with that you need to see it from the character's pesrpectives and I think it was good that they did part ways so Angel could be who he was meant to be and Buffy could learn to be on her own and learn about being the slayer.

Oh Angel... nothing is ever easy.

And I think Buffy needed to experience what it was like to be normal... or as normal as life could be for her. Hence college and Riley.

She would have regretted it years down the line if she hadn't taken the chance to at least try it.

It just sucks that she didn't get that normal relationship... Riley wasn't average you know? I think Parker was the most normal.... human guy anyway.
