Did anyone here notice that on the dvd's of season two 'Becoming' episodes, that Angel does the narration and not Whistler?! grrrrrRRRRR

I still have my original vhs volumes (the ones that came out before the box sets started to come out, individual volumes of two-episodes per tape) anywayz, my Becoming is both parts one and two seamlessly edited into one movie-length episode...it was done sooo darn well!!

and no Angel narration either!

Hmm, I never noticed that Whistler did the original narration, I thought that it was always Angel. Of course I don't have the oringinal VHS ones, I only have the DVDs so I'm not sure.

I always thought it was the Whistler. I used to have the original on tape but taped over it. So I was surprised when it was Angel's voice when I first saw the episode on FX. I thought I had just remembered it wrong but now I know I wasn't crazy.

I can assure you that it definately was Whistler doing it in the far superior original versions. Try and find the season two script book, it should say in there about it, or search on the net about it some more, or take my word for it, for I can't tell a lie.

(Besides, I just re-watched the real vhs verions of Becoming...unless Angel changed his voice to be of a much higher pitch and had a heavy New York accent...it was Whistler, and the narration at the beginning of Becoming was the exact same voice as Whistlers...so, yeah, work it out.

Since it was Whistler doing the narration of Becoming, why is it that my new dvds have Angel doing those exact same narrations?

I prefer Whistler for them...

Becoming pt2

The Good;
All of it, every scene between Spike and Buffy, Giles and Angelus and Spike and Joyce. Great scenes with all the Scoobies and the ending just too heartwrenching for words, especially with Sarah MacClachlan's beautiful music, all classic.

The Bad;
Are you kidding? It's all too wonderful!

Best line;
Joyce; "Have you tried NOT being a Slayer?"

Character death; Angel or so we think?
Shot;
Tied up; Giles and tortured
Knocked out; Dru which is rather strange, Spike seems able to knock her out with a chokehold despite the fact that she doesn't breathe and has no circulation.
Women good/men bad;

Questions and observations;
Joyce thinks Buffy is the Slayer because she didn't have a strong male role-model. Of course she'll later find out that Buffy is the Slayer because she did, she had Giles. The first (and only unless you can correct me) appearance of Willow's 'resolve face'. Xander's remarks at her bedside set the basis for their relationship in season 3. Willow successfully casts her first spell. Why is Buffy still wanted when Xander and Cordy can back up her story? Spike's reluctance to end the world seems odd considering he was happy to do it earlier
A couple of points that escaped me about Becoming pt2, firstly Dru seems to be deeply enamoured of Giles but then she always did have a thing for 'daddy'. Secondly as Jenny Dru says to Giles that they'll get to do all the things they never had a chance to implying that Giles and Jenny never did have sex

10/10 and I need a hug

The ending is the best part

It's the one of the saddest moments in this series. Poor Angel's confused and all he cares about is the fact that Buffy's hurt

And poor Buffy's heart just continues to break (even though I didn't it was possible). She didn't send Angelus to Hell, she had to send Angel.

And that Buffy/Angelus fight scene

Amazing. I love the part at the end when she catches the sword in her hands. I love sword fights and that's one of my favourites.
