| Episode Discussion: 2x20 Go Fish Since we aren't going to have new episodes to discuss, we're going to have weekly episode discussion threads for old episodes. New threads will, of course, appear each Tuesday.  Go Fish Willow is being leaned on by Principal Snyder to give a swim team member a better grade than he deserves, since they are soon to win the State Championships. To complicate matters, something is eating the swim team one by one, leaving only their skins. Xander decide to go under-not-a-lot-of-cover in the swim team, where he finds out they are being fed steroids by the coach. The steroids are turning the team into fish monsters, which eat the school nurse. The coach tries to give the fish-boys Buffy, but she throws him to them instead, and they escape into the ocean. (Episode summary on loan from buffyguide.com) RtS: #133; beat Listening to Fear in the play-in round; lost to Passion in the first round. This one pretty much defines the term "filler episode". It's not a terrible episode, but it's got no business appearing in between I Only Have Eyes For You and Becoming, Part 1. Buffy in particular seems out of character, partying on the beach at this point in time. Still, I do enjoy the Xander/Cordelia action, especially the Speedo Xander scene and the girls' reaction to him. Please feel free to post your comments, screencaps, favorite scenes and quotes. | True about it being a pure filler episode, but I didn't mind so much. It wasn't bad as those go. And I didn't particularly like the S2 storyline anyway. I loved Xander/Cordy in this, and dumb jock swimmer-guy crushing on Buffy after she rescued him was kind of funny.  I also liked Willow playing interrogator. | |||

Okay when Buffy is in a car with one of the swimming team, 'hot shots' he hits on her and so she slams him face on the steering wheel, and he soo deserved it too!..Then when the the guy is getting his nose bandaged up the coach is in there all mad at Buffy....well heres the script lol Cameron: I don't know what happened. I mean, first she leads me on, then she goes schizo on me. Buffy: (steps over to him) Lead you on? When did I lead you on? Cameron: Oh, come on. (to Snyder) I mean, look at the way she dresses. Coach Marin: (steps over to Buffy) And you... try to dress more appropriately from now on. This isn't a dance club. I cannot believe the coach said that to Buffy, she doesnt dress like a slut!
