| Episode Discussion: 2x05 Reptile Boy Since we aren't going to have new episodes to discuss, we're going to have weekly episode discussion threads for old episodes. New threads will, of course, appear each Tuesday.  Reptile Boy Cordelia has decided college boys are her mission in life, while Buffy has decided her mission is her life, and it sucks. Giles is scolding her constantly, and Angel is upping the angst factor in the way that only he can. Cordelia's plans to snare a rich college boy at a frat party have hit a slight flaw: they want Buffy to tag along. Buffy decides to go with Cordy, since she wants an unundead boyfriend, and just one night of normal juvenile fun. This is fine on paper, except the frat boys kidnap girls on a yearly basis to sacrifice them to a large demonic snake who lives in the basement of their frat house. They drug Buffy and Cordy, who wake up chained to the wall by the snake demon. The rest of the Gang find this out and storm in to the rescue. Buffy decides Angel's not such a bad boyfriend after all. (Episode summary on loan from buffyguide.com) RtS: #137; lost to Out of Mind, Out of Sight in the play-in round. Really not a favorite of mine. I couldn't blame Buffy for being fed up with Giles and Angel, but running off with Cordelia lacked credibility. I'm counting on the rest of you to remind me of something I liked about this episode, because it's just not coming to me right now. | Graphics Team   | I wasn't too impressed with this one... The plot kinda sucked.  But there were some really funny scenes in this episode, like Xan in the bra (classic! ) and plus Buffy looked really hot on that party.  Oh and I loved the song that was playing at the end! And don't do that weird thing with your hair. Buffy: What weird thing with my... Cordelia: Don't interrupt. Do be interested if someone should speak to you. It may or may not happen, but do be polite. And laugh at the appropriate intervals. Do lie to your mom about where we're going.
