This was a great ep IMO.

The Snyeder/Giles convo was in this one too wasn't it?

Snyder: There are some things I can just smell. It's like a sixth sense.

Giles: No, actually, that would be one of the five

It was a great ep, but Buffy pissed me off royally with her attitude. The Willow/Xander interaction made it totally worth it, especially when they're back in the Bronze and poor Willow tries to get Xander's attention by smearing ice cream on her nose. Too cute!

Buffy was cool in this ep. But it's a pity she arrived in time to save Xander and Willow from that vampire in the beginning. Had she not, the following 5 seasons of Buffy might have been considerably better.

I loved this episode! It's one of my favourites!

I'm torn: I don't know whether I should be mad at Buffy (I was pretty pissed about the way she treated the Gang, especially Angel, who were worried about her) or feel bad for her (she DID die, after all).

One funny thing here is that Buffy and Cordelia seemed to have traded places. Buffy is acting like the self-absorbed bitch (or bitca) and Cordy is acting like the wiser nice-girl.

I love the sexy dance scene. It had me rolling on the floor, howling with laughter. The looks on everyone's faces! Xander looked dazed, as though he didn't believe this was happening to him; Cordelia looked shocked; Willow looked betrayed and Angel looked stark-raving I'm-Gonna-Rip-Xander-Limb-From-Limb Stay-The-Hell-Away-From-My-Girl jealous.

I also really liked the scene when Buffy challenged Angel to a fight. She kept taunting him and he kept refusing, even though there was a moment's hesitation, as though he was angry enough to accept.

Lastly, I liked the ending, when Buffy vented out all of her anger and frustration on the Master's bones before collapsing into Angel's arms.

Best quote from the episode:

XANDER: Are we overlooking the idea that she may be attracted to
me? (gets looks from the others and concedes) She's possessed.

I disagree about Buffy being right to be nasty to her friends. I hated Buffy's attitude in this episode, even though it was understandable. She really had no right to blame them and Xander was so right in what he said to her, she had nearly got her friends killed. I think maybe this was the start of Buffy pulling away from her friends and I hated that especially in Season 7.

Loved Cordelia's words to Buffy, it was a role reversal.

Heh. People hate Xander for threatening Buffy? I say that's one of his best moments. Buffy was acting like a bitch, hurting them all with her actions, she used Xander to make Angel jealous and her "Have I ever thanked you for saving my life? Don't you wish I would" is very nasty from her part. She hurt Willow, Xander's best friend by snapping at her, and her irrational actions led Giles, Willow and Jenny to get kidnapped. I was rooting for him when he threatened her.

Too much biased against Xander I see, even bash him in his great moments, oh, well.

I bet if it was Spike, people will all go "Yay, Spike! Show that bitch!"

Meh. I love all the characters, but I don't get biased when ot comes to their bad or good moments. I think the most hateful Xander's moments are Dead Man's Party and Revelation, but in this ep? C'mon, he's a victim of Buffy's selfishness. She used him and was ungrateful to him. She caused Willow to get hurt. I'd threaten her myself.

I actually really really like this episode, it shows a side of Buffy that we hadn't seen before, and i like that, and plus, I really liked seeing Buffy as bitch, i don't know why, I hate that kind of people, well, hate may be too strong of a word, I just don't like people like that, I guess it was just because SMG did a great job in that episode, and some of the things she said were funny.
And then the end, where she cries in Angel's arm, that's my fave. part of the whole episode, I love the ending.

here are some of my fave. quotes from that epi. :

Xander: Yo! G-man! What's up?
Giles: Nice to see you. And don't ever call me that.

Giles: (to Buffy) How are you?
Buffy: Live and kicking.
Willow: Buffy killed a vampire last night.
Buffy: Uh, I think you can get a little more volume if you speak from
the diaphragm.

Xander: Oh, c'mon, you can tell us. We're your bosom friends! The
friends of your bosom!

Angel: How are you?
Buffy: Peachy. So, is this a social call? It is kinda late. Or, well,
it is for me, anyway. What is it for you, lunch hour?

Buffy: So, some of your cousins are in town for a family barbecue, and
we're all on the menu!

Willow: Cibo Matto? They're playing?
Xander: No, Willow, they're gonna be clog dancing
Willow: Cibo Matto can clog dance? (gets a look from Xander) Oh,
sarcasm, right.

Cordelia: Oh, look, it's the Three Musketeers.
Buffy: (to Xander) Was that an insult?
Xander: Kinda lacked punch.
Willow: The Three Musketeers were cool.
Cordelia: I see your point.
Xander: I woulda gone with Stooges.

Buffy: I would have to go with Stooges also.

Cordelia: What are you guys talking about? I'm talking about big
squiggly demons that came from the ground? Remember? Prom night? With
all the vampires.
Buffy: Cordelia, your mouth is open and sound is coming from it. This
is never good.

Cordelia: Are you nuts? Do you think I would tell people that I spent
the whole evening with you? Besides, it was all so creepy. That Master
guy? And all the screaming? I don't even like to think about it. (to
Buffy) So your secret's safe with me.
Buffy: Well, that works out great. You won't tell anyone that I'm the
Slayer, and I won't tell anyone you're a moron.

Buffy: Could you contemplate getting over yourself for a second?
There's no 'us'. Look, Angel, I'm sorry if I was supposed to spend the
summer mooning over you, but I didn't. I moved on. To the living.

Cordelia: Buffy. (Buffy stops) You're really campaigning for bitch-of-
the-year, aren't you?
Buffy: (turns to face her) As defending champion, you nervous?

You're not the only one. It was so damn hot, especially with Buffy being a bitch and Xander getting angry and feeling used. the dance was the best moment in the ep.

There was only one point in my entire life that I didn't love Angel and that was in this episode when her said the line "Why you ridin' me?" while he was talking to Buffy outside the Bronze.

I was like, Nice Angel. Go back to the ghetto and hang with your posse. It was just so out of character.

I don't think so, I think it was the Angel we got to see a lot in the last two seasons he was in Buffy, when he was sweeter to Buffy, you could say that when he tried to kill himself in season three he was out of character too, but he wasn't

I found that line pretty weird too. I mean, Angel? Using Ghetto talk? Totally out of character.

I agree. Angel would be the very last next to Giles to ever use that type of lingo.

Would you guys have forgiven Buffy after this mess was over? I would eventually but not right away.

I thought it was very generous of Xander and Willow to forgive her right away, I know I'll eventually will, but not as fast as Xander and Willow did.

I was mad at her during the episode, but at the end, when she was smashing the Master's bones, I felt so bad for her that I forgave her right away. What can I say? I'm too damn forgiving for my own good.
