Welcome to the Angel and Angelus Appreciation Thread

Welcome to the Appreciation thread for Angel and his evil alter-ego, the Demon Angelus. We're here to worshi--I mean appreciate (such a fine line, really) David Boreanaz's incredible portrayal of one ensouled vampire's journey to redemption--and all the people (and incidently non-people) who've been somehow touched along his rocky path.

We've combined this thread to incorporate appreciation for both these characters and the importance they've played in the whole spectrum of the BtvS and AtS-verses. We appreciate Angel for his kind heart, his unerring efforts to find peace and his heartbreaking determination to 'help the helpless', no matter the cost.

But we also love his darker, slightly less broodsome Demon, the Scourge of Europe. (pause while we shiver and 'get all buttery in the nether-regions' TM Angelus) whether he's torturing Watchers, or just being an all round snarky bastard he sure knows how to keep us entertained while he does it!

So, settle back, post away and help us worship the 'daddy' of the vampires. You'll find pictures below and various moments of glory for our (Anti)Hero. Manacles shall be passed around for when things get too hot and violators of the very simple code of conduct:

NO FIGHTING!

Yeah I would have never known that if you hadn't just told me. What's that episode about?

It's right after Angel has sex with Darla and she thinks he's Angelus again. He tells her that it was perfect but not happiness rather perfect despair. And then he thanks her because it saved him and brought him back to wanting to be a hero again. He also tries to reconcile with his friends.

My favourite parts are the one's with Lorne and Kate. Kate tries to kill herself and Angel saves her. This is when she starts to believe in him because she never invited him into her apartment and yet he was able to come in and save her.

Wow I don't remember that at all. I think after I finish all the books I'm reading I should rewatch ATS.

That does sound really good though.

What about Lorne? What happened with them?

S1 if ATS is not a fav of mine but I thought the show came back very strong in S2. It's about the characters but there's also bad guys with a clear agenda.

I just love all Lorne scenes He's so tragic.
